OK, You have had some Apneas. What kind of machine are you using? Are you using a heated humidifier? You can go to CPAPTALK.com for outstanding info.

Don't panic, I quit breathing for 30 minutes at a time. My machine fights through it and here I am. I have Vocal Cord Dysfunction. I am awkwardly trying to say you could have serious problems, probably not, but I didn't think I did either.

Also, you need to be proactive with your sleep care. If you have Respironics machines, most of them allow for you to stick a smart card in and you can measure your sleep activity.

Let us know what kind of machine you are using, what your pressures are and how long ago you did your sleep study.

If you have allergies, are you using Nasonex or Astelin? What sprays are you using? I use them.

One of the first things is to find out what your machine says.

To quit breathing for one minute is not dangerous if you have the right machine. I would make sure my Pulmonologist knows about it. Also, in many areas you can go to your electric companies website, download the forms and get up to 33% off your electric bill because you are on lifesaving equipment.

LOTS of things for you to do....Dave

PS, lack of oxygen to your brain is NOT good. MANY other bad things can be happening. Good luck with your Allergies.
