Morning all! Jim and I are heading out to see our cousin today. Nothing after that because Jim feels like he may be getting a cold.

Have a good weekend everyone.

Hi everyone...
Will this cloudy rainy weather every clear up? Feels like November already, which will make the winter seem even longer unless we get a break
Of course this isn't as bad as the snow in Pennsylvania.

I saw the urogynecologist yesterday. I need a new urodynamic test and a cytoscopy to check inside the bladder. Some muscle tone is nada in the area, and we'll discuss options after all the tests are done...

So, I left the office, and walked out of the elevator atrium to the parking garage. I was looking up at where my car was parked and didn't notice that there was a 2" step (it was a ramp to my right). My foot rolled on the edge, and I fell, hitting my ribs, knee, right temple and right wrist/hand. I was yelling for someone to help, because I wasn't sure if I had cracked a rib or gotten a concussion (both were hurting, and I couldn't breathe right-got the wind knocked out of me). Just my luck, a very old man shuffles up. "You all right?" he mumbled. "No, I need help." He said, "There's nobody here." "Could you find help? I can't breathe." after a few seconds, he said "Well, okay." He shuffled off. I said to myself "I'm gonna die." (Esp if I had to wait for that guy to find anyone).
Luckily, another man came up to me and called 911; he was an angel; stayed with me until the emts showed up. The emts came after several minutes. I couldn't get up...my head and side still hurt, and I felt weird. So they put me on a gurney and took me in the ambulance....get this...across the street to the hospital... After xrays (and about 3 hrs.) they didn't feel I had any fractures, so they cleaned up my face and sent me home.
My DH had a friend drive him to the hospital, which was about 40 mi. away from home.
So now due to my clumsiness, we'll probably have a nice ambulance bill...and I am so sore! My right wrist is the worst...at least I can type with it My right knee is scraped and sore, which I wasn't aware of until I got up to leave the ER. And my temple has some nice color and a small bit of swelling. I still get a radiating headache, but that would be normal after hitting your noggin, I guess.
Sometimes I think my DH should wrap me in bubble wrap...he was so sweet...stopped on the way home and bought me roses...I am so blessed to have him!!
Anyway, the kids, after making sure I was okay, started joking (that's our coping mechanism). My oldest said maybe my MIL should be taking care of me and not the other way around...ha ha. And DD couldn't understand why I couldn't get up and walk myself over to the hospital...uh, yeah.

So I'm resting once again...feeling stupid...but blessed just the same...funny how things like this remind me how much I have to be thankful for...

Anyway, hope all of you have a great weekend!! And hope we get some sunshine!

Debbie Those were extra gentle hugs.....I know you're sore. What a terrible thing to happen! I'm glad you're okay. I'm glad it wasn't more serious than it was. You were lucky to be so close to medical help. I've had a number of close calls but never actually fell. My day is coming, though. My balance isn't good at all especially in unfamiliar areas.

Vonn, I still have the Christmas ornament you made for me! I thought about trying to make some of my own but I'm just not very "crafty". I should be. My Mom was. I have some of her creations up in my kitchen. She did alot of decoupage and I have two pictures of fruit she did. They mean the world to me and I'd never part with them. They even have her initials in the lower right corner.

Debbie, you've earned the weekend off so please get some rest and let that wrist and rib heal. Your DH sounds like a prince.......you're very blessed to have him.

Oh yes, we've been married 35 yrs...not all sweet and nice...but we are in a great place; it's worth all the angst...I feel taken care of....I try to reciprocate when I can...we have grown through the experiences. I no longer question why this and that occured. I know now, in older age, that experience is the great teacher (my dad told me that before he died when I was 17, and I thought he was crazy).
I am healing...but it's difficult to get out of a chair, or grab something with that ouchy hand. So I know it's slow and steady. Whatever...learned a lot from this small experience...isn't that great?

Aw Debbie, I'm so sorry about your fall, but so glad you weren't hurt worse. Your DH really is a sweetheart, but so are you.
