Morning all. I have a dental and doctor appointment today. The dental is a cleaning, the doctor is a getting to know you appointment. He's going to get to know me alright. My hearing is off and my left ear is numb sometimes. What's up with that? LOL I can't even let my hair fall on it. I'm also tired by early evening, more than usual. I wonder if I have an ear infection?

Have a great day everyone! I'll update when I get home.

Good morning everyone!

I got a lot of projects out of the way over the past several days. Yesterday morning my body decided enough was enough and started fighting with me. LOL Today, I am not going to do much at all and be good to my body.

Hope you all are doing well and have a great day!

Afternoon, all.
Only slept for two hours this morning. I need to call the pcp and talk to the nurse again about this sleepiness.
My eye has so many beautiful colors today...but at least I'm not as sore today.
Going into Chicago for a urodynamic test this afternoon...I'm going to stop and get some caffeine for the drive so that I can stay awake at the wheel.

Hope everyone has a great afternoon!

Wow....I had no idea it had gotten so late in the day! I've been puttering around the house doing various chores. Today is one of DS's off days so we went to Chick-fil-A for lunch. YUM! I hadn't been there in ages and it was really good. Chicken Sandwich with lots of extra pickles and waffle fries. I'm still full!

Only two more weeks before he moves out. I'm really going to miss him but I know how much he and his GF are looking forward to having their own place....and space. Plus, I'll be reclaiming my garage space!! Yoo Hoo!!

I made baked spaghetti for supper tonight. It's really cheap and easy but tastes so good. Perfect Fall food.

How'd your dental appt. go, Sandy? Cavity free I hope! Does your dentist give you a free toothbrush? Mine still does. I told him I'm not seven years old and he just laughed and asked if I wanted a Shrek or Little Mermaid toothbrush! I told him I wanted a blue one and he found one!

I just realized I haven't had a nap today and haven't needed one! My LDN must be working overtime today!

This is what went down today:

The good:

1. Got flirted with by a Starbucks cashier. haha He was telling me all about his college parties. Sunglasses are a girl's best friend!

2. Doctor told me I have beautiful pigment in my eye. hahaha

The not so good:

3. Walked out of the dental office with clean teeth but future $750 worth of work to be done. I need some bonding and a crown. Ugh

4. Left doctor with a script for a hearing test. Crap.

5. My prozac kitty is at the vet refusing to pee for them. Argh.

That's my day.

I am so tired today! Going away for the weekend sounded like such a good idea, but I really need some recovery time. but I did have a nice time. I guess I am paying for playing.

Filed paperwork for firm retirement date -- May 31, 2012. In some ways it seems unreal that I am planning on retiring when I am 55, but on days like today I do not know how I am going to make it that long. I had to send in a firm retirement day in order to be approved for what is called our pre retirement summer glide. It guarantees me summer teaching, which in turn boosts my income average. Does that make sense? Of course, the idea of having to teach again for the next two summers without a break is a bit overwhelming.

Supermoo -- What an interesting name Hope you have a nice visit with your friends!

Kelly -- Baked spaghetti sounds yummy.

Sandy -- Crowns are so expensive. My dental insurance pays about 50% of the costs of a crown.

Debbie, Hope the drive into Chicago went ok.

You can do it, Barb. Just take it one day at a time. Time flies - it will be 2012 before we know it. Egads, that will be the year DH and I celebrate 20 years of marriage. I just can't believe it - feels more like 10 years.

Evening, all...

Sandy, sorry to hear about the mucho dinero dental bill awaiting you...and the planned hearing test... hope your kitty comes through...

Barb...retirement will be a new opportunity to follow your passions...it will come quickly...make sure you plan well...and then you will be able to enjoy your days instead of feeling as if you're always pushing a boulder up a hill. You are very young...but being an educator can take it's toll, and you deserve the new life that awaits you

Got through the urodynamic test..of course, I didn't have any problems at all during the test. My body never does what it's supposed to do when you're at the dr.
Then, while driving home, even though I'd bought a bottle of diet Dr. Pepper, I was crawling along at 20 mph and was slowing down when I suddenly awoke just in time to avoid hitting the back of a semi truck. So now I am a bit afraid to drive on the highway. My pcp's nurse called me when I was on the way home. I told her what almost happened; she told me to make an appt. with a pulmonologist tomorrow asap to have a sleep study.

Grrr. I am so tired of these stupid things going on...you try to ignore things so that maybe you can get a postive attitude and live life, but then these sxs keep tapping you on the shoulder, demanding that you keep thinking about everything that is wrong with you. Oh pooh!!

Hope everyone has a good Monday evening...
