Had my usual busy Monday and now I am exhausted. I still have eight papers to grade before tomorrow morning.

Jenn -- Hope you are feeling better soon. I have been feeling more tired than usual the past week or so, and the spasticity in my leg is worse. Maybe it is the weather???

Sarah, Hope your appointment went reasonably well.

Soxmom -- I was impressed by your post. You must have mentioned everyone!

Hugs to all!

well
lets see, for the dizzy spells with vomitting I was having in summer, he is now wondering if slight chance non related to other stuff and maybe some migrane thing without headaches. He wants me next two times I have that whole thing, at onset take a migrane med, he gave me free ones... if helps at all within first 45 minutes it would show migrane idea might be? something like that...

for the pain from the spasticity, and my all over body pain, and also for the nerve pain he wants me to consider Cymbalta! like start it, and if helps spasticity I would wean off the baclofen.. or if maybe helping nerve pain wean off the neurontin... although I do not have nerve pain now with the neurontin...so would have to wean some to see if cymbalta would help...

not sure I am keen on idea... so any tips guys... any of you on cymbalta.. does it help if on for pain stuff..??? or had been on.. really want the good and bad... thanks,,

he is a nogo for medical mj... he said he feels it doesnt do much at all for spasticity in patients he knows has tried it.... (I have heard different hehe)

oh well, nothing much new.. showed me some new stretches for my back, that he wants me to do each morning and right after work... see if helps stretch the back where the spasms are worse... so I will do those on top of some yoga been feeling good with... hugssss, sarah

Hi all! Quickly checking in. I finished and turned in my essay. Phew! For some reason I was really having a tough time with it. So glad that's done. Next is determining my topic for my term paper. UGH!

Sarah - I took Cymbalta for 3 days. It was awesome for the pain - better than the Neurontin. However, for me, it messed with my mind. In otherwords, I am normally a passive upbeat type person, never really get mad or angry or anything. It made me have aggressive thoughts and kept me awake despite being so tired. By day 3 I told the dr. no more of that crap! LOL It does seem to work well for others and I would not hesitate to recommend you give it a try.

Supermoo - Good luck with those shots.

Fin - Hope you start feeling better.

Barb - The wonderful Monday blues! Glad you made it through the day!

Hi everyone else! Hope you are doing well also.

Gotta go finish up my nieces painting. It's over there screaming at me to do something and fix it. LOL

Sarah, I have heard that some people really have good results with cymbalta, but I too could not handle it. (Try the search button.)I was only on it for about five days. My side effects were extreme nausea and tremors.

Sarah,
I've been on Cymbalta for nerve pain for a few years now...I was also on Gabapentin (neurontin)...my new neuro took me off of that, and I'm still on Cymbalta...I occasionally will have some nerve pain, but not much...I think it works for me...and I have had no side effects.

Jenn, hope you feel better soon...

Evenin' all. Hugs, prayers, and high fives all around.

Today I battled the yard. I won. I may not feel like it in the morning though. The veggie garden is ready for its winter blanket of mulch. I think I am half way done with the rest of the yard winterizing details. One more full day at it should finish the project. Better make that two days as I keep thinking of more things to do. It may be too late to do some things.

Need to tackle some housework, but curling up under a nice warm blankie, with a good book, and a re-filled mug of something warm, sounds like a better bet.

Night all.

Doing a quick check in. I'm feeling better. Had some interesting abdomen pain for a few days. I had forgot about being told I had very mild diverticulitis in 2003. It has never bothered me until now... ouch is all I'll say about that. I go see my doc next week and will get things checked out again.

Hugs to all. I gotta lot of catch up reading to do!

Morning all! Heading out to get Jim some Botox today. He'll also see the spinal cord doctor. I am not happy about going to the hospital. I want to soak myself in sanitizer. lol

Have a good day everyone!

Be careful, Sandy! Wear a surgical mask!

Are you like me and hold your breath to walk past people who appear sick? I do.....I've done it for years. Especially if they sneeze or cough. I just take a deep breath and hold it as I walk by. It gets interesting if something slows me up.

I'm going with DS today to see his new apartment. He has the walk-thru/pre-inspection today. I'm excited to see it. It's in a "ritzy" section of midtown (Atlanta). They're on the third floor of a hi-rise building. I don't foresee myself going to visit very often. You have to drive on the Interstate in order to get there and I just don't do that.

Well, it's gonna be a rainy, stormy day here today. I can already feel it in my bones!

Ya'll have a great day!
