Today's agenda: Submit term paper topic, working on nieces painting, laundry, cleaning, pray DD19 gets the job she is interviewing for this morning, and anything else that may come up that's not on my list.

Oh! This may not seem like a big deal to all of you in colder weather but we dropped 30 degrees from yesterday to today. It feels much colder than it really is because of the sudden drop. Mid to upper 80s yesterday, mid to upper 50s today.

Barb - I figured it was something similar to that. Wishing you luck!

(((Kelly))) - I was the same way with DD18 when she moved in to the dorm. I was sad but with her excitement after the 1st night, I couldn't help but be happy and excited for her. The biggest questions I have had is how do I fill my time. All my energy (or lack of) was conserved and used for taking care of DDs. Now that they are both "gone" I had to come up with something else. Hence, the classes I am taking. Hang in there! You will be just fine.

Sandy - Still keeping Jim in my prayers.

Vonn - Good luck with the interview and congrats on the A. That is awesome!!! Praying for you and all the health carp you are dealing with.

Weave - LOL Plan your lack of spending. LOL I am not a spender. I don't have the funds to spend. That's why I was thrilled about my book bargain yesterday. I didn't have to spend $6.00 I don't have.

Sarah - Cool beans on the bowling. I think my hands are too weak to even lift and hold the ball. That's great that you are able to do that.

Hi everyone else! Hope you all have a great day!

That's just it. I don't have the funds to spend either. Now that I am working it is up to me to pay the minimum on my credit card. That right there is 75% of my paycheck and the rest goes in the car gas tank. I could put gas on my CC but then the balance will go up faster. I have one small bill that goes on each month. Nothing goes on my credit card without a lot of thought. I plan to go on a very cheap retreat in January. I hope my lack of funds allows me to enjoy it. The loss of one paycheck really hurts. I keep looking in the help wanted ads but I don't see any relief there either.

Weather report -- rain, cool, and gloomy. We are paying for the relatively mild summer with a yucky Fall. ( I think I have been talking to my 4 year old niece too much --yucky)

Going to get my hair highlighted and cut.

Sandy, that's great news about Jim.

Well, the move is over. They still have umpteen boxes to unpack and they're having a sofa delivered tomorrow.

I got to meet his GF's parents and they're so nice. Her Mom and I got along very well. She looks just like her mother. They could be sisters! Her Dad's so funny. He had us all cracking up with his Steve Martin impressions. I think GF thought he was going to embarrass her but we all loved him!

I'm pooped and I didn't even do any of the heavy lifting today. And there was an elevator so no stairs to climb up and down! Those apartments are really nice. I could see myself living there. It's very secure with an underground parking garage and everything. The mailboxes and trash shute for each building are even indoors.....you don't have to go outside for anything. Each building is locked and you have to have a resident swipe card to enter.

Okay, I've got to get something cold to drink and go relax for a bit. It seems like Saturday or Sunday to me since everyone was off work today.

Good afternoon, everyone...

Sandy, I hope and I pray that Jim's all right...you guys have had enough...
Sox, hope it's just colds...keep us informed...
Vonn, congrats on the excellent grade!!
Kelly, it would be great if you could find something close to your DS, wouldn't it? Hope you enjoy the quiet...
Barb, hope you get to buy those years...what a difference it could make!!
T...good bargain hunting...glad you found the book at the right price...
Weave...

Saw the urogyne yesterday...DH went with...he was impressed by how compassionate and gentle a man the doc is.
I have to have surgery to put the bladder back where it belongs. It's day surgery, but no heavy lifting for 3 mos! I thought he said no "intimacy" for the same amount of time, but my DH didn't believe me...or he didn't want to
My bladder also has involuntary contractions, which he hopes the med I'm on will help reduce. I've been taking it wrong, so he told me to take it 1 hr. before breakfast, and then in a few weeks we'll see if it's improved the urge thingy at all.
I'm having the surgery on Nov. 16...and we're celebrating Xmas over Thanksgiving...which means I'll have to give up control and let everyone do everything...something I am definitely not good at. I need to get gift shopping done soon, since I also can't drive for 2 wks afterwards.
It's one thing after another in life, isn't it

Going to the inlaws for dinner and then driving to my sleep study tonight. I'll miss my guy tonight...

Hope everyone has a wonderful evening!!
Take care!

Debbie - Good luck at your sleep study as well as your upcoming surgery.

Sox - Hoping the kids just have little colds and not much else.

OK, remember the part where I posted "and anything else that may come up that's not on my list." Well, it came up shortly after I posted that. LOL My dad is coming home today from the hospital. I spent a few hours helping out at their house to get things ready. My mom gave me my "chores" and left to go to the hospital. YEAH!!!!
