new update:

received a call today about the lip biopsy ... yep - there is inflamation - but, again, there really isn't any treatment other than OTC or better Rx for eye drops for tears ...

I then made an appointment on the same day as my liver biopsy (Nov 12) to have my hearing checked too!!

TRICIA Update: just heard on the Doctors that Japan is now (has been) taking fat and with the person's own stem cells ... the fat is inplanted into breasts for 'bigger boobies' ... too funny!!

My prayers are finally being answered, lol.

Just kidding.

Hi everybody!!

I haven't checked in for awhile because I've been very busy! Business is picking up here, and I've been studying for some computer certification classes. I spent the past week picking on Biogen too, lol.

I'm taking a "drug holiday" from Tysabri as of end of September (my last infusion) and I'll see the neuro end of January to see how I'm doing and if I want to go back on it. If you want the details about all that, read the Tysabri check in thread and my "Call Biogen and Complain" thread, lol.

I have a job interview Monday afternoon. I have a full schedule for the weekend too.

My desk is full of paperwork I have to go through. I also have to get some details for the accountant for the closing of the old company, since I met with him on Wednesday. Yikes, I better get off of this site and get to work.

Happy Halloween everyone!!!

Also, have a nice weekend, and big hugs to each of you and prayers going out for all who need them.

I forgot to mention. We spoke with Jim's doctor today and he said that he doesn't feel Jim should get the H1N1 vaccine. I asked why and he said many vaccines are tricky and he doesn't want to expose Jim to anything that may exacerbate his ms or make him sick. I think secretly he's not ready to say Ok since it's a rushed vaccine and so new. haha Anyway, he said if Jim feels strongly and wants it he wont stop him but in his medical opinion Jim getting the regular flu shot and having the pneumonia shot is enough for him. Hope that made sense.

His cultures came out with Klebsiella. Since he has no symptoms he said he will not treat Jim because he's more than likely colonized. If he starts to have any symptoms I am to call asap so he can call in some meds.

We're okay, Vonn! Thanks for asking, though. Yes, it was terrible. There is a small airport about 3 miles from me.....called Briscoe Field. A pilot took off from there about 11:30 AM Friday morning and crashed less than two miles from the airport. The subdivision is about 5 miles from my house. It must have been terrifying for those residents.

Sadly, the pilot and a woman in the house were killed. There is a high school less than a mile from the crash site.

It's raining here today but supposed to be nice, sunny and cool for the next several days beginning tomorrow. I am SO ready for Fall weather to get here and stay.

DS26 has emailed me umpteen pictures from his iphone of their new apartment. I can't figure out how to put them in a post, though. I'd show ya'll if I knew how!

DS22 has gone to South Georgia this weekend for a Halloween party. Some of his friends go to Georgia Southern and they all went together. Which means I am alone until Sunday night.....first time in a long time. Doesn't bother me, though. I like the quiet.

I'm trying to clean out my closet this weekend. I want to have a garage sale in the near future. It's easy to have one in GA during the winter 'cos it never gets too bitterly cold. The mornings can be nippy but the afternoon is usually pretty comfortable - in the 50's.

Well, back to work! The cats are having a ball investigating my closet. They never get to go in there and today I have the doors wide open!

Happy Halloween! And don't forget to turn your clocks back one hour before you go to bed. Sandy, I got the date right this time!!

I finally got a chance to log in and read/post. My youngest son has the H1N1 flu. He was doing ok, just fever and body aches. I pushed fluids at him till the kid was running to the potty every 5 minutes! On the 3rd day we could not get his fever down. Ibuprofen and Tylenol were not kicking in and his temp was spiking at 104. Lucky the clinic got him in and ran blood test. They wanted to rule out mono and strep. The doc laughed that at least he wasn't dehydrated! Which was a good thing I pushed the fluids, cause when the Tylenol finally worked he started sweating buckets! I have washed his blankets 6 times in 3 days. Not sure he will be able to go back to school on Monday. His temp is still over 100 with meds.

We only had a few trick or treaters. Last year we had close to 100 kids, but tonight only 20. Can you freeze chocolate? I bought 3 5lb bags of minis at Sam's and we only used 1/2 of one bag!

Mom's been rushed to the hospital this morning. I don't know what is wrong yet except she's staring into space. They are running a ct scan and blood work. I'll update when I know something.
