Oh my gosh, Sandy, you know we are all thinking of you, hon...

Sarah, I pray that you can get some relief

Had a decent night's sleep...the fatigue hasn't bothered me the last two days. Now the stupid spasms are back. Is it better to be sleepy, or better to be awake and hurting? I vote awake and hurting...

DH went to the Bears game today...poor him I went shopping. Found a turkey lifter that is awesome at Bed Bath & Beyond. Also bought decorations for a candle. Then got severe calf spasms & had to get groceries and head home.

I hope that all of you have had a wonderful weekend...it was absolutely beautiful here. I wonder if Virginia or N. Carolina is like this in winter? I could handle low 70s in winter...

Have a wonderful evening, everyone...you're all great!!

Hi everyone! Didn't do too much today. I did work on the painting a bit but ended up laying back down and watching movies on Hulu dot com. Hulu and I have become friends over the past weekend. LOL Some of the movies are older but I had never seen them before.

Sandy - Dang it all! Let's hope this setback is only minor and your mom will be doing better tomorrow.

Debbie - I vote neither. Glad the weekend weather was beautiful for you.

Kelly - You are such a sweetheart for taking care of your neighbors like that. I do hope they are doing well. I hope you have an uneventful night tonight.

Sarah - Do you do needlework or knit? Just wondering. One of my sisters started knitting and she was telling me how her mind just wanders as she's knitting and she loses herself in it. She said it's a great stress reliever. Me - heck no, I don't knit or crochet or do needlepoint. Although at 1 time I loved doing needlepoint and embroidery and it was a great stress reliever.

Hi everyone else! Thinking of you all as well.

Tk no I do not, I have done before, but then have to take breaks from it, as my fingers cramp up and get issues with them! (stiffness/pain issues)
But I feel that way with reading a good book, which I have one... my mind only focuses on the story in the book, which as you said is relaxing on the mind.

Sorry been a downer lately, just heck even on vacation having so many troubles with my body!

That lawn chair hour was soooo very soothing and enjoyable, and the massage the other day too woohoooo

Sun is shining again, so might take Maddie for a walk after Ciara gets on her bus. Somethings around the house I would like to get done too!

I just called the neuro office, I guess I am going to try the Cymbalta, hoping that if no side effects it will help the pain... and if helps the stiffness pain... I will wean off the baclofen... and bonus then sometime I will try to wean slowly off some neurontin and see if the Cymbalta would be enough for the nerve pain as well. Then bonus... I could be on one medicine instead of two woohooooo

although I have to ask them, if pain is bad should I skip tramadol... as I read in the cymbalta info online.. that was a medicine listed in interactions..

Anyhow, cymbalta might help me anyhow too, as I am a worry wort, and wonder if it will help me be less of a worry wort.. cause worry wort is not good for sxs right!!

Well on to my day, gotta start some laundry, house of 7 it is never ending...

thanks guys for ideas and htoughts you always rock!!

oh Sandy we love you, keep up your spirits and strength! hugssss

Debbie, well at one point thought maybe some fibro, but then pressure point wise I am not bothered at all....one of my doctors did that... pressure point stuff.. said Sarah what you are dealing with is not fibro... or if chance fibro it is not just fibro.... but I decided yes on cymbalta.. so hey it can only maybe help right yeahhhhhh

hugssss, sarah

morning, all...well, my pity party is over...the guests have left the building

Sarah, I sure wish you could feel better, gosh darn it...

Sandy, how's your mom?

Trish, I have crocheted in the past, was thinking of taking it up again. I am also looking at the jewelry-design section at the craft stores...looks like fun! I love reading, too, but my cognition and attention won't allow me to enjoy it as much...I think I should really get into our Wii system. I need the movement. Any other ideas for escaping the mind trap of illness, anyone? Besides going to Hawaii or something equally expensive

Well, getting ready to go to pcp's for pre-op physical. Have a wonderful Monday, everyone!!

Good Morning! Cloudy day here.....waiting for Hurricane Ida to dump rain on us for the next two days. Some areas that flooded last month are still saturated and cannot take anymore torrential rain. Guess they'll flood again with this.

I have been working on my garage sale a little every day. I got all the clothing priced and hung up on hangers. I have a big area of the garage as a "catch-all" for everything that's going in the sale. It's gonna be a big one!

I spoke with my sister over the weekend and got her blessing for me to sell the piano. I hate to do it....HATE it.....but I have nowhere to put it in an apartment if that is where I will eventually move to. I'm trying to make this sale a "moving sale" so that when I do decide to take the plunge it will be an easy move for me.

Barb, I've had that happen often in recent weeks. I have learned to copy my post before I hit the submit button. That way I can paste it back in if something goes haywire.

We had a much better weekend. The antibiotic shot plus the Z-pack are working their magic on DS. He is back in school today, however he goes to see his Pediatrician this afternoon for follow up. So far the rest of us have not been sick except for sniffles due to allergies.

This week I am preparing for my quarterly neuro appt next Monday. I'm eyeballing a closet that needs to be cleaned and organized. I just don't have the energy for it, but it needs it.
