Hello everyone!

I wish I could respond to everyone but I am so brain dead right now,
I cant organize a thought!:o

Just know I am wishing you all the best and hugs to go around.:grouphug:

My sick child went back to school today. I tell you between skiing accidents,
the flu, and having all my kids back home for the month, I am really beat!

There is a steady stream of company everyday between friends, girl
friends, and family.

Also My mom retired yesterday from the college she has worked at for
25 years. Yay mom!
\
So...I just went grocery shopping(yikes) and now I will rest for a few
hours before; the little ones come home.

Love to you all!

Went into school this morning to write a few letters of recommendation and do a few other tasks. I am not ready for classes to start next week. I also went to the grocery store, and I am leaving in a few minutes to go get my hair cut. While I am gone, my cleaning lady is coming. It usually only takes her 2 1/2 hours, but she has not been here for a month so I imagine it will take longer. I plan on hibernating during the next few days. This particular snowstorm sounds evil. Hopefully, the weather forecasters are exaggerating.

Barb, the predicted totals keep increasing up here in Chicagoland every hour, it seems. It's now predicted to snow up to one foot:eek:
I'm making homemade chicken soup and banana bread...comfort!!!:D

Okay, I won't complain about the snow here. They are saying 5 to 8 inches but the low temperatures and wind seems to be more of a concern. It is extremely flat here so the highways are rather dangerous when the snow starts blowing.

I ended up getting high lights and low lights in addition to a cut. So $82.00 later, my hair is looking pretty good. "It is better to look good than feel good." I couldn't believe how many people at Christmas told me how good I was looking.

lol Barb, I guess I better do something with my hair then so I look good...

hey all snow forecasted here too but not much just a few inches.. but we are suppose to head hour north tomorrow for dental apt for Ciara... and it is suppose to be more like 4 inches there... the roads up area just is really bad when snowing... maybe we will cancel the drive up...

feeling out of it, so yes snow must be on way tonight a bit, just numb/tingling face.. and feeling duhhh out of it mind wise.. and a bit dizzy slightly! Hoping the dizzy does not develop worse.. hugss, sarah

Hi Everybody! :grouphug:

I had 8 hours of sleep last night so had a better day but I was 4 minutes late for training today. If you get five lates you can be fired. :o It won't happen again! I was so embarrassed!

Tomorrow I'm going to get up at 5:15am so I can be out of here by 7:15 to drive the four miles to the workplace. (We're expecting a snowstorm, remember.) lol

So, the next three weeks I might stay at one of the hotels closer to work so I don't have to worry about this again. The closer ones are higher priced but I think it will be worth it.

Hugs, prayers, love sent out to all who need them and even those who don't think they need them.

Wish me luck being up here in this traffic and this storm that's coming! :grouphug:

Stay safe out there board buddies! We have school systems closing left and right here in north AL and TN. With the number of buses I've seen broken down because of temps under 20F, I can't say I blame them. I've been reading comments on the local newspaper and tv station sites with lots of folks complaining and making fun of the "rednecks".... but they forget that we don't have salt/sand trucks and snow plows available down here! I sure don't want to see a bus load of kids sliding off into the ditches of these 2 lane country roads with no shoulders!

I over did it today while shopping. I'm paying big time for being up on my feet too long. Let's just say... Barb, I'm feeling your pain...especially while sitting. I had to run get supplies for that end of things to.:o

:grouphug: to all

:grouphug: to all

We've already got school's closing early tomorrow in anticipation of this snow/ice event. I guess they don't want stranded busloads of kids here, either! You're right....we don't have the resources to handle weather like this. Our meteorologists, though, just seem to go into overdrive when there is the least little chance of winter weather here. All they're predicting for the metro Atlanta area is a dusting with accumulation of (maybe) 1 inch. North Georgia mountains might see up to 3 inches. But, they've been wrong before. Like the blizzard we had in Match of 1993. Now that was a snowstorm! :p

Ya'll be careful, Pam. It looks like you'll be getting more of it than we will here.
