chirrrrrp brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

It is a frosty morning here in central florida and altho I know 31 deg probably sounds warm to those of you in the teens and below...for us swampy birds it is cold!!!! Had to cover up all the tropical plants in my garden last night, and bring in the orchids etc. Our rooftops and lawns are all crisply white after the freeze last night, where our temps dipped into the upper 20s

Alffe, having your daughter and family snug at home with you sounds just wunnerful
now
share those meringues pleeez

ps Just read a story in our local paper of how someone in a flashy white SUV was driving around the parts of downtown Orlando last night where it is known that the area homeless gather to sleep, and handing out thick coats to anyone who needed them.......sure warmed me to read that!

Well that warmed my heart too Chemar. What would you like on your meringues? We're gonna have whipped cream w/raspberries, blueberries and a raspberry sauce. I had hoped to offer a choice of that or banana cream pie but Mr.Alffe ate all of that.

I liked that story too, Chemar. That's just the kind of hand-to-hand charity that I admire the most. No middle-men, or CEO fees. Just a helpful gift from one person to another!

BTW, Alffe, I'll have the whipped cream. With blueberries, raspberries and a raspberry sauce...

I feel wonderfully refreshed after a good sleep....have been getting less than my required amount lately as my work load was a bit heavy and I have been "burning the candle at both ends"

ok...time for my second cuppa tea

have a chirpy day birdies

Good morning, good morning.

Nothing wrong with the smell of garlic.
You could bake a ginger cake, that'll change the smell in the house lol.

then again...

You could boil a pot of water.
Remove it from the heat and add sliced lemons and copious quantities of parsley.
Infuse it for about 15 minutes and then drink the "tea".
Eat the parsley
Don't eat the lemons.

After that you won't worry about the smell of garlic.

Great idea Lara but where does one get copious quantities of parsley at this hour of the morning? somehow I don't think dried parsley flakes and a plastic squeeze lemon will get the job done!

I have failed once again to make garlic paste, in fact I only succeeded one time..should have quit while I was ahead. The first failure became garlic soup...the second failure became garlic ice cubes for future use in stews, etc.

Mr.Alffe wants me to turn it into soup once again...whatever it eventually ends up being will have to wait...(the whole pot is in the freezer) but the odor lingers on.
