Yesterday we had "thunder" sleet.... thats what the weather man called it. i swear it was thundering, but it was sleeting... My daughter and one of her friends went to another friends house who lives 4 houses down from us, and they are pulling each other around in a sled... LOL.... wish i had their energy.

I'm editing to add, my daughter and her friend just walked in the door both complaining of being cold and hungry.... i offer to make them some ramen noodles, or clam chowder or a grilled cheese or something.... what do they want???? a coke-float!!!!!

Yes it is very cold here in Texas. We have no snow just ice. My hubby will have to leave extra early in the morning. He is a nurse at a local hospital, his regular time in is 6:00am.

At this time it is 14 degrees(wind chill 6).

Our daughter and family came here from Dallas area and are unable to go home. Some roads are shut down from here to there.

I just hope it get warmer here.

lol shelly. i was raised in california. it baffles my kids when i tell them we had picnic tables outside at school to eat lunch. weather rarely was bad to eat inside at our desks.

i was watching the news and a guy was filling his gas tank..he was wearing shorts and t-shirt. crazy texans.

it still real cold. under 30. yuk. but nice hot spaghetti for dinner.

Well -
Portland OR finally got some snow this morning- just a dusting was the forecast--

oops only 3" but with our hills, winding roads, overpasses and bridges -- a couple of the main hwys around Portland were at a standstill.
one main commuter route was stopped during rush hr -due to truck & trailers sliding sideways on access ramps and blocking everyone else- they sat for over 4 hrs- till they got it cleared and then only able to creep along.
no potty breaks out there!!

Temps @ and below freezing since last week- so it isn't melting much at all and will refreeze tonite.
