Kitty, still praying

Barb, sorry to hear about the cold still visiting you.

Debbie, hope you got some rest.

~~~~~~~~~~
Frost on the ground and upper 20s this morn. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Not ready; not ready.
Went to dentist for follow up for root canal, and it turns out my infection hadn't cleared up. Ugh! Add that to my list of things that could whack out my symptoms.
So holding off on neuro call in hopes that this little thing that won't go away is causing some of my issues. Got brand new shiny anti-biotics and crossing fingers
Take care everyone!
Morning! Sorry I didn't check in but have been busy with the election and all. Jim's driving test went well in that he can drive but his equipment isn't working for him anymore. The drivers rehab thinks his rotator cuff is damaged again. So we have an appointment with an ortho Friday to see what's up and if he needs therapy again. When he turns the steering wheel his arm gets stuck at the 6 and 8 position and cause pain. Not good to drive nor safe. If his shoulder is OK, then they can try a smaller steering column that should help Jim. I'll update on this after Friday. The ortho wants medical records of xrays and reports. WTH? I'll never get that by Friday. If they want them, call the VA. Sometimes I think we should say nothing when going to a new doctor.
Anyway, that's about it. Our election for Governor is too close to call. However, with most absentee ballots being from the Chicago area Quinn should win. It could be several days before we know anything. We almost went downtown for the rally but so glad we didn't! It was 1am before they even announced for people to go home, no winner yet.
Hope everyone is feeling better and having a good day.
Afternoon...chilly here...ugh!
Kitty, poor kitties...you're so good to feed them...hope your niece recovers from treatment quickly
Sandy, hope you find out what's going on with Jim...
Fin, more infection and antibiotics? It's a wonder your docs don't just keep you on them...
Such a disappointing election for those of us who support the President...but the people have spoken...so I guess we'll see repeal of the healthcare bill & Wall Street regulations, according to Rep. Boehner...I'm wondering how our govt will pay for the continuation of the Bush tax cuts? Has anyone read how that would be financed? I really am curious about it...
My DD is so worried...the Republican who won for Wis. governor's office has vowed to cut education and make teachers enter the healthcare system that all state employees get...she's at the bottom of seniority in her school even though she's been there three years...so she's freaking out about being let go...and how much more her health care will cost her and her DH.
Oh well...got a new estimate for having our wood floors sanded and revarnished, and since DH replaced the flooring where needed instead of having them do it, we've saved $1K I scheduled it for late next week.
Well, I'm going to go buy some yarn to make a baby blanket for the new baby in the neighborhood...and also stock up on wine...the new wine cooler is empty (that's the problem with filling it...we drink it)...
Have a good afternoon, everyone...
Debbie, would you mind letting me know how much they are charging you? I need to do that too. Do you have to leave the house? PM me please.
Oh and we are pretty sure Quinn has this. Most absentee votes are from Dem counties and Brady would have to make up 8K+ and then take most of the left over. Also, I am not worried about the Republicans being in the US Congress because now they have to put up or shut up. I am not against Republicans but I was discouraged at how they sat lifeless during the health-care reform and acted like children. Now they must work for us and make the hard decisions. Two years from now, it will actually help the democrats if they fail to follow up on their promises. But either which way, many Republicans told me they voted Republican because of the health-care reform. Rasmussen reported many Republicans polled today do not think we'll be any better off in two years but felt they wanted to choose their health-care so voted that way.
Hi arkiegal0704 and welcome to NeuroTalk! I copied your post over to the Arnold Chiari Malformation & Syringomyelia forum in the hopes you'd get more responses to your request. Here's the link to that forum: http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum71.html. I hope someone can recommend someone for you.
Hello dear friends,
I'm keeping busy as usual. Had my flu shot today and had our DSs girlfriend over for dinner finally. She's adorable and a nice girl. We looked at old family photos and she was really interested in them. I think she really loves my baby.
I have my spanish final on Monday, finally. I'm so glad. It's such a tiring class. I have to be online and totally focused for over two hours and it's a hard subject. I learned a lot but I'm happy to be at the end.
I'm going to get my MBA at the same online university that I used for my BSBA degree. I applied online today. My employer pays $8,000 a year of tuition so there should be very little out of pocket expense for me. Wish me luck with that! I can tell you that those classes are easier than online spanish, lol. You can work at your own pace and post your assignments on your own schedule.
Enjoy the rest of your week everybody!!
Hi everyone. I frequently read this forum, but rarely post. its becoming dark and dreary in the back woods. its rainy and spitting snow today. The winter is headed at us full blast here.
I am glad the elections are finally over. We have been bombarded by horrible commericals for months now, and its nice to not hear folks tearing each other down in every corner of this state. We have a great governor (D) and I was happy to see him keep his seat. The rest of it was too much anger, too much venom and too much distress for me to handle. Perhaps now I can turn on the radio or TV without having to hear negative stuff.
Jack is improving. slowly, but I will take it. This silly cat has been a handful to keep up to. I am hoping he will start playing more with his sister now, so she will stop begging me to drag a string. I am tipsy and fall alot when i try to drag a string down the hallway.
is anyone looking forward to this blistering winter?
Sorry I have not posted as of the last week! I have been helping my
mom with my dad quite a bit. Although his hip is healing amazingly well.
Today is my day to go into the second grade so I love Thursdays!
Tomorrow my ds( now21, yikes!) is coming home with a few friends
from school. I got the call yesterday. Can you please
make your chicken parm ma? Please.. So that should take
most of my day tomorrow. I have 5 pounds of chicken tenders to pound,
bread, and saute in olive oil.
This weekend I will be going with my scout troop to a girls in science
of students every year but these local colleges really give back. (smith,
amherst, hampshire, mount holyoke and umass).
I want to leave love and hugs for you all! I hope everyone
has a great weekend!
