Barb, Greg told me today he wont be pushing the bill for a vote this week. I'd say look for it to be pushed at the end of the month along with ours. Woot!!! November 30th is the day! Not sure when the death penalty bill is being pushed.

Good Morning! :)

I plan to do some baking today. Need to make some sandwich buns (to freeze) and I have a few bananas that are overly ripe so they'll become banana bread. Thank goodness for my bread maker....it does all the hard work (stirring, kneading, etc.) for me. I don't think my arm could handle the workout!

I've already started my Christmas shopping. I saved all year long....just a little bit at a time....and have not had to charge anything (yet). I have to admit it's hard to part with the $$ because I feel so much better having a little bit set aside. But, I plan to keep saving throughout the year so it will accumulate again. Last time Tigger was sick I was so glad I had the extra money. It wiped me out but that's what it's there for. I tell you....not having a car anymore has saved me more money in more ways than one. :)

I think my next big project will be to start getting my Christmas cards ready. It takes me forever to write anything now so I need to get started early.

Oldest DS got home yesterday. Seems like he's been gone an eternity. I'm looking forward to hearing all about his training trip....he always has funny stories about stuff that happened. The news has been full of stories about cuts to the State budget but fortunately his position is in an area where they aren't cutting. Phew!

Time for more coffee.....and I didn't put cat food in it this morning! :p :o

Ya'll have a great Thursday! :grouphug:

good morn all. its been so nice to have some ME time. I have spent a large chunk of time getting my silly cat more relaxed. he is a cat that loves my DH and is upset when he goes away. I took a tshirt and wadded it up into his sleeping area. That seems to have helped him. He is so sensitive, and easily upset. I spent extra time playing, and stroking him. Today seems to be a much better day for him. Thank goodness. I dont want to be trapped by a cat on my ME time!

I plan on painting the kitchen cabinets. They are builder grade stuff and nothing fancy. I am painting them white. At first the dh was against it. I showed him magazine after magazine of black and white kitchens. We have black counter tops, and the wood cabinets are just...blah. I got the paint and supplies yesterday and today I start. whoooo Im gonna make a mess!

The medical MJ bill has been defeated in my state several times. the gov keeps saying that since its against Federal law, he wont ask his citizens to break the federal laws, and since its illegal, he wont pass it. *sigh* We do have a same sex marriage law in this state and its worked out pretty well. Partners are finally getting benefits, and rights. To be able to go visit your wife in ICU in the hospital is huge. or to be able to help make decisions for her in health, when she cant make them for herself instead of relying on a strange MD who doesnt know her, has been a huge blessing here. NH has always been pretty gay friendly tho. I think its because we are so close to Boston. We have many gay churches, and gay own business' that dont have to hide the fact that they are who they are. That was one of the reasons I voted for our old gov was the one running against him wanted to repeal the gay acts. It was a tough choice. the new guy wanted medical MJ but would have undone many other good things that were in place here.

I am off to make a mess. I hope the rest of you have a good day.

Dej, please post a picture when you're done! I'd love to paint my cabinets but know it would just be too big of a project for me. I'll have to settle for watching HGTV!

We're home. Jim has rotator cuff tendinitis and a tear in his bicep. He got a Cortisone shot and will begin therapy soon. Doctor can't say for sure therapy will work but it's worth a try. His knees are OK but if bent too far they do dislocate a bit. So doctor said to continue the massages and stretches as usual. With ms it's hard to predict anything because your never sure if it's ms or unrelated. ugh

Ok, this ME time isnt working out! :( it appears as tho many of my well meaning friends are very worried about me spending this much time alone since I was so sick this year, and normally have g/fs up for the hunting season. They are coming in shifts! Everytime I pick up a paint brush the phone rings, or the doorbell buzzes. its nice to see these folks and I know they traveled far to get here, but grrrrrrr....I just want ME time! I want to refill MY cup, not make sure everyone is fed, watered, or entertained. NO! I dont want to go to the movies, or the diner, or the local whatever. Yes! I know my area of the state has many wonderful things to do, so does my house. so...im a little grouchy becaue I am worn out from so many dropping by. Now when they are nice enough to call first I am saying "thats lovely, but i am overwhelmed with the 12 others that have stopped in. I am trying to do some damage control.

there is a nasty computer virus haunting my town. I repair elderly's computers for free (most of them are free) and it must be an email thing because my phone hasnt stopped. I have 5 left sitting here at the house that are almost ready to go back home. I know they count on their computers to keep track of children/grandchildren far away, so I try to keep their outdated, underpowered machines humming.

Hugs and prayers to those that need and want them.
