Thought I'd better report in! It's been a busy few days. Running errands and shopping in this heat has drained me. I was doing better until a storm started moving in.

I took DS15 to karate class and was keeping a watchful eye on the sky. Lightening bolts flashing and next thing I know it's pouring down rain. Had to drive home in the stuff. After it passed, I checked my garden and the tomatoes and squash took a beating. Hopefully they will bounce back.

Vonn... a ribbed broiler pan rack makes a great scrub board for washing clothes in the tub or sink! I had to do that while we waited for electricity to come back on in April. I pulled the old wooden drying racks out too and my neighbors thought I had lost my mind. Nope just needed clean undies!

Prayers for those worrying over the budget mess affecting their income.

DH is having his colonoscopy today. I am so thrilled yesterday is over! Poor thing. He really was a good boy, but I had to push him. Our GI is heavily pregnant so we needed to get this done before we were left with a dud, or a fill in that we dont like.

DS is coming back home today. He is scared, worried, and beaten. I have never heard him cry this much. He has it all set up, a plan in place to get away from her today, and he needs courage. Please say a prayer for him as he makes a run from his abuser while she is at work. He is going to try to get his stuff from the place while she is at work, but one tiny whiff of him leaving and she will stay home and be on top of him. Its also payday for him, so we know she wont let him out of her sight.

my sis called last night, and in a hurry I answered before seeing the caller ID. She was sober, clear, and concise. She spoke of how afraid she is that she too is showing MS sx, and wanted someone to talk to. She did try to interject mom things, but I cut her off. Its the first time we actually talked to each other, and not at each other in a very long time. She wanted my email. I refused. She wanted my skype or Facebook stuff. I refused. She wanted to be able to call back. I told her it wasnt a good idea till she has more sobriety under her. It was nice to be able to talk for a min with her, but I didnt allow it to go on and on. I gave her info and said I wanted to go do other things. I am not going to let any of them back in. I am going forward not backwards.

I am starting horse therapy next week. it is supposed to help rebalance the MS brain so you are less drunk walking. LEts see if this works.

well, its that time. we are off to see the wizard. Please say a prayer that my boy escapes his abuser safely today.

well, 2K2C ... you figured that out for me!! thank you! ... a washbin ($75) and drying rack ($10) ... is way more inexpensive than a washer/dryer ... uh- $1000!! ... plus, I could leave the washbin outside ... I also have saved my old phone cords - make GREAT clotheslines ... friends would say - how do you think of that? ... well, when you get in a predicament - you use what you have!!

you all remember the toilet/no water for 4 months during the winter, right? ... oh, that was the winter of 2005-06 ... maybe someday I'll write about it!! should write a book!! LOL .. no one would believe me ..

thanks again, 2K2C ... and Barb - I do the same thing ..I have a list - what I need and where to go ... and a CART is essential .. even to go 'find' lightbulbs!! no more crying in pain - and trying to smile - as I sweat and hold the counter to pay for something anymore!

B2Y ... MOON?? what moon? I'm in the woods - and unless it's directly over my head ... I see no moon!! LOL ... and I totally understand how you feel/deal with someone in a wheelchair with more stamina ... and can work all day - I get pooped thinking about it!! ... I do get things done - just at my own pace .. and LOTS of breaks ... or I lay down ... and the heat doesn't help ... but, no complaining - just working on understanding my sx ...

Just got the results of my colonoscopy, and they now say I have active colitis. I have to have a stool analysis so they can try to figure out if it is infectious, inflammatory, or drug caused. He also provided a prescription to take after the analysis. I have a a call into them as I am currently on antibiotics. I don't know if that would affect the analysis. I also take miralax (almost daily)which may be the cause. Of course they told me to take the miralax.

Barb - Sorry to hear about the results. Hopefully, the dr office will get back to you soon and let you know. I also hope it is something easily treated.

Hi everyone else! Busy doing some chores around the house and am taking a quick break. So, I don't have a whole lot of time to respond to you all. Hoping you all have a great day!

Good idea on the using the old phone cords! I'm full of "pioneering" ideas, so ask away. Yep, I'd believe your toilet/no water tales... we had to haul water one summer(in early 70's) while our well pump was being replaced. First daddy had to find the money to pay for it, then it took 2 months for them to get the parts, then the first one didn't work, so another 4 weeks with no water!

Look at my weather widget today!! We finally got a break from the heat. It feels so good. It's cloudy and drizzly out but that's okay. We needed to have this relief.

Pam, Vonn.......I love to find ways to reuse things. I wish I had a place in the backyard to hang clothes. I suppose I could put up a clothesline but we have so many birds and trees around the property that I'm afraid I'd end up rewashing lots of stuff. Because of birds leaving "presents".

I was up really early this morning due to a certain kitty cat (stares at Panda) who couldn't wait for her breakfast. I got up, fed her, did a few things and then when I went back to my bed who was curled up and sound asleep smack in the middle of my spot? I think I need a nap!

Hope everyone has plans for a nice weekend.

@barb

Home from DHs trip for colonoscopy and he had one teeny tiny polyp and looked great. Wont have to go back for 5 years. wahoo!

DS wrote to tell me he felt like a thief in the night and didnt want to run out like a child who did something wrong. He cleared his stuff out of the house and will confront her when she gets home from work, which is about now.

its cooler here, but still too hot for my liking. Im quite tired, and headed to nap. sleeepy! very sleeepy.

Hi all...getting hot here again

Barb...as if you needed another health issue, you poor thing. Keep us up to date on what docs think, treatment, etc...

Kitty, I hope and pray that sane heads take over in the Beltway and this debt ceiling is passed...Kramer on CNBC is suggesting people start buying gold...okay, with what? he is also suggesting that if this goes without passage, the IMF will have to come in and bail us out the way Greece and Ireland have been

Dej, hope that your son keeps brave and gets his **** out of there...he needs to take care of himself...and love himself enough not to allow anyone to treat him like that...

Another afternoon on the recliner...I have been having troubles as the day wears on with fatigue and leg pain again. I think DH is tired of calling and hearing that I'm down for the count again...but he knows how much I hate it. I just want to feel normal for more than one day a week

Well, hope all of you have a great weekend...GO USA WOMEN'S SOCCER!!

Sitting here waiting impatiently (tap tap tap) for the stupid UPS truck. (I'm calling the truck stupid, not the driver). Of course, it's my Copaxone, which I don't really WANT in the first place.

I like things to come in the mail...all the mail is cased by around 9:30, and then I'm the one who gets to decide when to pick it up. UPS goes by here any time from 9 in the morning until 9 at night. I want to be in my jammies right now, not waiting waiting waiting. Grrr.

In the scheme of things, this is a very small deal, but we're sliding toward the time of day when my attitude gets really gruesome. Can you tell?
