Welcome back, Barb!

Nothing much going on here. I need to get a few chores done today but we'll see how that goes.

I paid some bills this morning......ordered my monthly supply of cat food (free delivery and it's so much easier on me to have it delivered right to my front door). Between my own indoor cats and the outdoor cats it's become quite an expense. But......apparently I'm the one chosen to do it because they expect it and sit by the patio door everyday at the same times. They're so sweet and have become so friendly - at least to me. If DS dares to go outside on the patio they scatter. If I do they all converge on my legs! I love them all.

I did laundry yesterday - changed the bed sheets so today is just piddly things around the house.

I hope everyone has a good Wednesday. Summer is almost over.....thank goodness.

Hello! sorry to be so absent, but life has been blistering on by me here. With DS in the house, and DH feeling like he isnt getting enough attention, and me trying to guide this troubled young man, and making sure we have regular food in the house, not just GF and other stuff that makes ME happy, but upsets someone who is terribly under weight.

DS got a job! he is working at an apple orchard. its very hard work, but he is doing it. He did try to contact sticky head a couple of times, and I caught him. I told hm that since he begged me for a chance to be rescued and start over, and we have been generous enough to do that, then there is ZERO contact! none, nothing, zip! not thru phone, email, courier pigeon, ouigi board, or telepathy. This girl is sick! you are broken! and while I am sure once upon a time you wanted it to work, right now it CANT! and you MUST stop or...get in the car and I will take you back tonight. you cant live here and have your energy, focus and attention there. so...pick. Stay here with food, a car, a roof over your head, support and help or ...I will take you to a bus station or homeless shelter or back to sticky heads house. you CANT have both. and STOP LYING! He tried to deny he was trying to talk to her, and I slapped down proof. So...its been a bit of an uphill battle. His g/f has made it clear that she HATES him! she thinks he is mental, and wants him to just GO AWAY! and he said that she has been contacting him...I said the only way she got your new phone number was if YOU gave it to her! so, either end this or get in the car! I wont play this game.

The stress level has been rocketing at my house, and that means my MS isnt happy. From fuzzy vision to dragging a leg. For the last few days DS has been much better. He claims to have cut off contact again with sticky head, and he is working double hours at work. He is finally going to start getting a paycheck this week, so at least he wont be asking me for money for little things. Thats hard for a grown man. I buy all the breakfast/lunch/dinner fixings. I pay for the gas in the car, and he is driving my car right now. I was so angry to think that he was trying to talk things out with sticky head that I blew my top. He does love her, and I feel he has some messed up feelings because she mislead him for so long and strung hm along, that he still has hope. I had to be cruel and tell him to ABANDON all hope! give it up! I hated to hurt my child, but I cant do this.

DH has been on me constantly about "what is he doing now?!" or "did he do this or not do that?" UGH! STOP! The DH is no longer used to having no privacy or having to share a bathroom and a pantry. I think I spoiled him thru the years, but I am going to give this kid every chance I can, and if he doesnt want to help himself, then...what choice will I have? He wont be able to stay here, for it will end up flaring me.

tough digs either way.

Still not talking to my mom/sis/neice/brothers. Neighbors are being bums, but that is nothing new.

What is everyone else up to?

Hi all...another gorgeous day in the north woods...
Barb!! Glad you're back!! Hope your mouth heals quickly and that preps for the new school year go well.
Moo...stay safe...prayers for your country. I have a feeling this will be spreading throughout the world.
Dej, hugs girl...so sorry that your son still hasn't shaken loose from the girl...he should get into counseling ASAP...he needs to get some self esteem. Sorry to hear it's ramped up the sxs...maybe DH needs to have a heart to heart talk with DS about letting go of the poisonous GF instead of resenting him for "intruding"...men are sometimes children, IMO...my DH was happy when the kids were out...meant more attention for him...oh boy...

Sorry to hear of the storminess down south...stay safe!

I took the dogs for a walk yesterday...one of my quads felt tight, but shrugged it off. Within an hour I could hardly walk...both quads almost locked, they spasmed so tightly. I had to sit most of the day after that...I swear, I can't do anything without thus stupid disease impeding my ability to push it...
Woke up this morning to the unmistakeable odor of feces...but found none on the floor from the dogs. Then I let the cat out of his kennel-ick ick ick!!! He'd gone in his kennel & got it all over himself. DH got a sweatshirt & gloves on and grabbed him and rinsed him off in the sink...he howled! DH texted DD to let her know; she said he probably got upset not being able to get to his litter box & let loose(and I do mean loose). We will let him run free in the room at night from now in.lesson learned...

Hope you all have a wonderful day...we wu
I'll be packing up today & driving home early tomorrow...boo...

Good morning all!

Supermoo - Keeping you all in my prayers.

Barb - Glad you are back. We missed you too.

Kelly - That's cool that you get the cat food delivered. I never even thought of that. I am sure that is a big help to you.

Dej - I'm sorry about all the drama at your house. I hope that your DS learns to just let it go and move on. Is he in any sort of counseling? That might really help him.

Debbie - I hope you have a safe trip back.

I haven't decided what I am going to do today. I was up too late last night. DD21 and her work friends came over last night and made me dinner. What a nice group of young adults they are. They even cleaned up after themselves. We watched movies and played games. I finally left them all to the movies and games around 11. I was beat. But it was fun. So, a good nap is in order for today.

I hope you all have a great day and are staying nice and cool.

I think it's going to rain today. Feels humid and it's clouding up. We need it - but only if it's going to reduce the temps outside. I am so ready for this summer to be over with. Seven months of summer is just too much.

Tricia, I love, love, love having my pet food delivered. With an order of over $49 the delivery is free. And mine is always over that amount as I order for a month or more at once. It sure beats having to drive to the pet store, load up the cart, then load up the car, then unload once home. Plus, it's cheaper! It's a win-win for me.

I finished one of my books (44 Charles Street) and am going to start on the other one (Being Elizabeth) today. I've gotten in the habit of playing one of my piano orchestration CD's while I'm reading. It's so relaxing and I enjoy the peacefulness of the afternoon. I've stopped watching the news......any and all of it. It's just too depressing and I can't do anything about it anyway. If I want to watch TV I put it on the Hallmark channel and watch The Walton's, Little House on The Prairie or Golden Girls! I know........not too realistic but it keeps the stress down.

My big outing today is walking to the mailbox to put some outgoing mail for the mailman. WooHoo!

Ya'll have a nice afternoon.

Kelly - Where do you order it from? That may be a good option for us as well as DD21 if they have puppy food.

DS has buried himself in work right now. He said since counseling cost money, and he cant buy his own candy bar right now, he will just work and work and work. The orchard is seasonal, so it wont be long till things wind down quickly and he finds himself either jobless, or with many days off. Then I will be able to get him to a center with a sliding scale so that he can talk this out. For now, he doesnt know whether to scratch his watch or wind his bum. Each day I see him roll out at 5. I feed him, he packs his own lunch. and off he goes. I dont see him again till 6 or 7 that night. he is exhausted, and completely spent, but I think that is a good thing. Hard work will help him build back up his body, and mind. He is surrounded by good people, and a caring company. I cant ask for more than that. I do know that he is going to need counsel, but for this moment, I am just getting some forward momentum on him.

Hi everyone! I tried to post yesterday, but every time I hit submit the site would not load/respond. So I gave up. It was a long post full of rants, so I guess I wasn't suppose to post it!

Barb, I hope the root canal heals quickly. I've had 3 so far...ouch.

Dej, I continue to pray for your son.

I'm trying to convince myself to tackle some projects here at home. I have a closet full of crafts and sewing that I need to do. I just can't get past the don't wanna attitude.

hugs too all!

I am going to see "The Help" today. I hope the movie is as good as the book. I would definitely recommend the book. It was excellent and a fast read.

My mouth is still really bothering me. It feels exactly the same way as it did prior to my root canal. I had two crowns and a bridge put in last Fall and it has hurt ever since. I also have nerve damage in my chin as he hit the nerve with novacaine three different times. OUCH!

I went back to the dentist several times and he did some adjustments, etc and kept telling me I would get used to it. So I switched dentists and he along with the specialist that did the root canal have stated that they would not do the bridge the way the dentist did. So I am probably going to have to have it replaced which my insurance will not cover again. The specialist I saw suggested I ask the dentist who did the bridge for a reimbursement and that I should mention the possibility of asking for peer review by the state.

I sent a letter to my former dentist and he called me right away. He did agree to reimburse me for my costs and the insurance costs if I have it replaced. Although he kept saying he could not do the bridge in any other way or it would have probably broken. He has been doing this for 38 years. He liked me. He was sorry I no longer trusted him... I actually felt kind of bad by the end of the call.

It is too big for the space. So now I need to wait another week to see if the pain improves and if not go back to the specialist whose office if 70 miles from here.

Sorry for the long tooth saga. I have never had problems with my teeth before.

Hope you all have a good weekend!

@ barb #1 im sorry you have mouth pain, that stinks! but I am so proud of you for getting ahold of the dentist and holding him accountable! way to go!

my struggles continue, but things are calming a bit. I have had several conversations with the boy about doing the right thing, and for now, just go to work! dont look behind you, look in front of you, and believe it or not in one month you will say "hey! I have one month clean, away from drama, trouble and insanity!" then you work on month 2 and before ya know it, you have money in the bank, a truck to drive, and can afford a place of your own! then the real works begins, cause you will have to buy your own food, gas, and pay rent and the light bill and so on. Once you have that figured out I promise a much better quality girl will appear and you will sweep her off her feet, but unless you have a good foundation, she is going to look right past you and hook up with a guy who can take better care of her. So...lets all say a prayer that he is listening.

Jack the cat got a shot today and that always upsets me.

I am transfering my prescriptions to a new pharmacy cause the one here in town is AWFUL! they are rude, snotty, and make you want to slap the girl behind the counter. They make you feel like you are drug seeking. I dont want to play these games anymore. I am too old, too sick, and too wise to slap a saddle on any of them to take them for a ride. The new pharmacist called the old one today to ask about my stuff and old pharmacist was quite rude. The new one said she could completely understand why I was choosing to move my stuff. Sheesh!

its a beautiful day out! perhaps I will go sit outside.
