ugh - spider's in shoes. ugh ugh Worst nightmare is to find a RedBack hanging off the end of my big toe, so for that very important reason, I never leave any of my closed shoes out on the patio around these parts!

Anyway,

You'd need to make sure there weren't any more little ones in there.

mrsD, I don't know how you can wear those shoes. Because of my balance/vertigo issues I need to feel where I'm walking. Are you sure they're the right shoe for you? If feet were painful or numb, I just don't know. They look just amazing and look as if they're made very well and so comfortable for sitting, but walking ??? I love their white volley type. I wish you luck with them. Let us know how you go once you get them sorted with the spider problem.

Good luck with that.

Oh, Chemar...there is a Range Rover commercial with a creepy ending...it is airing now on TV (I've seen it twice so far recently). Born Free the song is on it so I was rather captivated by it, and it overall is good...but you certainly would not appreciate the surprise ending:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mu5rlsBzKEQ

The gal at Merck (Dr. Scholl's) said not to tamper with it, as OTHERS might be in there too.

You know the bed bug epidemic? Well, our area really has not had problems. BUT... hubby got an email thru his system at work that his "secure" building --it is the computer center for the whole area, plus his department in the higher floors,-- sent out a warning about 3rd floor infestation of bed bugs! Also something happened to their water, and they are not to drink it! Luckily he works at home and only goes down there for meetings or to turn in his closed cases, and check in with the boss. But it is a NEW building with its own parking secure etc... and two weeks ago it was evacuated for 3 days!

I am going to ask to see a manager at the WalMart, because I am concerned the clerks will think I am nuts and put it back on the shelf, etc. It is pretty easy to get a refund at our WalMart, they don't question anything if you have a receipt. I had a defective ketchup bottle last month with a leaking seal.

Spidey is on the porch still. I was putting in my new laces... in the shoes...curly ones for kids, as these are elastic and put less pressure on my instep. It was time intensive, so I set the inserts on the arm of the chair (Houdini's chair in fact) in front of me and I was watching the airplane emergency on CNN.
Something caught my eye, and it was the spider running around! I am really glad I didn't open it right away...or it would have escaped into the house! It is a men's large heavy duty insert, and won't fit a large Ziploc.

The Gravity Defeyer shoes are working for me, but I had to have them stretched out. The springs in the heel seem to take the pressure off my spurs in the heels. My insteps are very high, and I have broken sesamoids too which complicate any shoes. If anything hits my scar on the left instep, I get pain, so I have to be very very careful, now. I tried on some things at Famous Footwear, where the special laces are sold, and not one thing worked for me (summer shoes). This has been my lot for the past 4 yrs or so. But.. the Gravity shoes have negative reviews on the net, so I don't expect them to last very long.
But for now they are working, my limp is almost gone, my lower back better, and I don't need my stick as much. I am able to walk longer and better for now. There is another brand called C-coil, but they cost more than 3 times as much. One fellow at work had them and they helped his standing, too.

With the arthritis, painful surgical scar/instep, sesamoid problem and PN... the feet are suffering. Around here I wear slides, but in public and driving I don't want to do that. Certainly not possible in winter either. Crocs hit my scar, but I wear them briefly in the garden where it is messy. They are my outdoor shoes for dirty tasks. Fashion is out the window for me now at this point in my life!

Spidey is still with us. He looks more tan today than black.
Maybe it is just the lighting? Still pretty active too.

Going back to WalMart.. I'll be talking to the manager today.

I found a large see thru plastic baggie in the pantry... The Costco
rotisserie chickens come in them. So he is in there with a twist-em on
it so he doesn't get me in the car. LOL

All done, Spidey is now back at WalMart.

I spoke to a woman manager and she was MORE creeped out than I was. I took a credit. I think I'll go to Target since I still have the eekkkk factor going.

I put my old inserts in these shoes, and they should be okay for a short while.

So the moral of all this is to check those packages carefully if you buy inserts with an opening to squeeze the gel... who knows what may lurk in there?
