Nope, not this year....I try to go every other year, so next year I hope to...my feet are needing some warm sand to dig into...aaahhhhh....

Vonn, up here, we have mud and silt on our beaches(from the glaciers)...

Except for Homer, they have sand :) Lucky them!!

I lived there as a teen...on the windward side of Oahu. :) Alot of water and fun. :)

I like burying my feet as deep as I can in the sand, pull them out and do it again...lol.

One of my sons attends the University of Hawaii @ Manoa. That is on Oahu too!

He is going to grad school. (chemistry!) I don't know...I just nod and smile when he talks to me about it!:D

I like going to The Big Island! Less people, nicer beaches. Kona is great! Good coffee!!! Nice Botanical Gardens too...Hilo has a great one! ;)

Cheryl, I never got to go to the Big Island. :( WHEN, not if, I go back, that's my prime goal. Of course, I want to visit Oahu again, but my main goal is the Big Island. :) I also want to visit Maui. :)

Oh, I remember taking a colander and sifting for paper shells to make my own jewelry. :)
