1. I was dirt poor as a child, and moved out at age 15 yrs. I supported myself, and finished high school, by cooking/cleaning/doing laundry for a group of 12 people.
2. I bought my first 18-wheeler at age 19, and was a millionaire in the transport industry by the age of 23. I managed that business, plus did consulting, while I went back to school to get a diploma in Business Management. 3. Money did not make me happy , and I walked away from my home & business to "live in a tent on the beach" in Australia and New Zealand, for 5 yrs. I "vacationed" for 6 months, and continued on with a great career overseas until I was 31. 4. Two months after returning home to Canada, I became paralyzed from MS. In my state of shock and denial, I asked a very handsome German tourist to father a child for me. 5. To my own detriment (and theirs ), I have no patience for closed-minded people. 6. I have two beautiful daughters that I am very proud of, and an ex that is still one of my best friends. Cherie

Wow, Cherie!!! What an amazing life story!!! No wonder you're so smart and savvy.
I hope you're writing your memoirs. If not, start now! (Not that many other people's contributions to this thread aren't amazing, too.... I just never guessed what all was behind that name "lady express 44".) Nancy T. |

1. I love working on genealogy and have been collecting info since I was in my early 20's. My in-laws bet I couldn't find any of their family info...well...they lost that bet. It's funny what people will reveal when you start finding stuff. I've never been shocked w/what I find or disappointed in anything, my theory is people live their lives to the best of their ability and we never know what exactly they went through or were thinking.
2. I have four biological children and a fifth child through marriage. Ages: 11, 9 , 8, 6 and 10 months. I was dxd w/endometriosis in 1996 and told I had 0% fertility rate. So there's hope for that condition. 3. I'm married to my high school sweetheart. The second marriage for both of us. It's his fault that it's our second. (I was dxd w/RRMS in August 2007 and love to pick up things w/my toes...my 10 month old will hold your finger w/his!!)

Thanks for sharing. It just goes to show that no medical eval or opinion is necessarily true (for the outcome)and that a diagnosis isn't necessarily the end in some cases.

1. Diagnosed with MS July '07. Docs are still trying to figure out which type.
2. Almost 34, and have been married to a wonderful man for 13.5 years. 3. We had two kitties instead of kids.
