Vonn - That must be some secret. LOL. I've been pacing around waiting to hear this wonderful secret of yours.

Frank - Thanks for the sweet compliment. That meant a lot to me. Yes, I'll tell you about the perfect day when I get back.

Good Lord, Kay! Yikes! I am glad you made it home. How did hubby do on the ride home? Have his knuckles turned back to flesh color or are they still white? :D

Sandy - You're right Xanax does work better. I take them before my MRI's and I could care less about anything. That would be the best time to tell me bad news. LOL.

Fin - A little bit at a time is perfect. Good job on pacing yourself. I am still learning how to do that and it is so hard.

~~~
Sandy, you'll love this one. I got a call this a.m. from SIL. She was in a bind and needed someone to watch my nephew (7) and my niece (6) for a couple of hours. DD17 was still sleeping as it was early and she had some work to do before going to work. So I volunteered to do it. I gathered up some canvas boards and my big bag of paints and such for an activity. These kids are not normal. They are extremely intelligent and bored intelligent kids spells T-R-O-U-B-L-E. Well, we painted and had a blast.
It took me a while to convince my niece that if she paints without putting on a old t-shirt she will ruin her pretty pink dress. LOL. But once she started she had so much fun. I gave her paint brushes as well as a wooden fork thing from a Chinese restaurant and she chose the colors. We put big blotches on the canvas and she took the fork thing and ran it through the colors. It turned out beautifully. The colors; gold, green, purple, and red, blended so well.
I often wonder what goes through their minds when I do projects like this with them.
Barb - I am so glad you are getting around better and that the pain has been downgraded from pain to uncomfortable. That is awesome! It's such a great feeling!
Renee - How are you doing? How's hubby? Still keeping you in my prayers.:hug:
Hey all! TK, that is the best story. Thanks for sharing that. I bet you had more of a blast watching them paint!
UPDATE on Renee and hubby: Hubby had his surgery and did fine. They ended up taking his gallbladder and appendix out since it was still inflamed. If all goes well he'll come home today. Keep praying so that he does come home. There's no place like home to heal.
My update is to relax and catch up on laundry. OMG, I am so exciting!
weegot5kiz 04-12-2008 12:10 PM
Very gloomy day! Had a little sleet here this morning. It is supposed to be in the 70s by the end of next week. :D Just hangin around the house -- too cold to go out.
Renne -- That is good news about your hubbby. Hope he gets home soon and recuperates quickly!
Feeling kind of apprehensive about things today. I gues that is due to reading threads about how poorly some people are doing. Heard back from my neuro's office and my insurance will cover a consultation with ms specialist at Barnes. But they said I probably would not be able to get in until sometime in June.
I need to learn how to chill out!!!
