I only got two sips of my coffee, and the goslings were chattering for their lettuce, so I went and did that, and then fed the guineas, and bunnies, and duckies, and came back, and my cup's EMPTY !! so I ask: "Honey? What happened to my coffee? I don't REMEMBER drinking it!" and he's all... "It was getting cold, so I drank it for ya..." :p:(:p *crawls over to PLOP down next to Finny on the couch* I gotta say awake until at least noon, or my internal clock will be all cattywhumpus. so, can somebody make me a FRESH pot? http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/9...umpsignpm3.jpg :D:rolleyes: |
Renee - Big 's. I am glad hubby is doing better but am sad to hear that you are under attack. Hang in there. I'm saying my prayers for you all. Kay gave some great advice. Please try and follow it the best you can. Take care of yourself so that you can take care of you little ones and hubby.
Vonn - I can't wait to hear the secret. *calculating time differences* I'm sorry to hear about the job. No, it would not be good to have employees that are smarter than our political leaders. LOL. Kay - What was hubby thinking playing that "trick" on a MSer with cog issues? LOL. That would have stumped me too. Funny thing about kids and chores . . .DDs have been cooking the meals lately as I have been unable to do it even with there assistance. DD16 is totally in to it while DD17 is "playing" dumb. The other night we were to have turkey (bought already cooked), mashed potatoes (bought boxed for times like this), and a salad (from the bag, just add more veggies). It was DD17's turn to cook that night. She stood in the kitchen asking a ton of questions on how to make the mashed potatoes. DD16 told her to just read the box, it was easy. She puttered around the kitchen not doing much of anything in hopes that either DD16 or myself would step in and just get it done. Well, that didn't happen. So about 6:00 DD17 announces that she was going to the store to buy tortellini and that was what we were going to have for dinner. She was frustrated as no one stepped in to make dinner. When she got home and started making it she continued with the questions about how do I know if it's done or what temp do I put the stove on, etc. She had to make that last attempt to get some one to do it for her. It didn't work. The only help that she got was me pointing out her manipulative behavior as well as the fact that some day she will have to do this on her own. Of course DD16 chimed in and told her sister that she will not go over and cook every night for her. LOL. Nothing to update here. Same 'ole, same 'ole. |

Renee, I know it's hard on you and sounds like the stress is taking it's toll. Is it possible to go see hubby once today and then you come home to rest since he's doing better? That way you'll be rested for tomorrow's surgery? I know I am mothering you but you count too and need to keep up your strength. Hugs sweetie!
MY UPDATE: Bills, sweep floors. Jim has another bacteria to contend with. Well, the same one so antibiotics once again. At least this time no fever! The doc says the body is adjusting just as it should. Oh, and the weather sucks. |
Hi all! Pouring down rain here -- under a flood watch until noon tomorrow. Hope the strong storms stay away. Supposed to get them tonight.
Sandy, the weather does suck! Just taking it easy today and alternating between reading and doing some laundry. Rescheduled my dentist appointment for next week. Back, ribs, and leg are still hurting but not quite as bad. I think I am walking a tad bit better today. I actually cooked last night -- chicken enchilladas. Now I have leftovers for a few days! Renee -- Hope all goes well tomorrow. Hopefully, this is just a pseudo flare. Try to get some rest -- I know that is easier said than done. Hope everyone is having a decent day despite the "sucky" weather:grouphug: |
Kay, loved the pic of the sign!! LOL, that is exactly how I'm feeling today.
Sandy and Barb, sorry to hear about your weather in your neck of the woods. It's heading my way though. Frank, I'm still learning the best way to get thngs done. LOL, my dad chuckled when he heard I had to learn not to push myself. He knows how stubborn I can be. Of course, he busted out laughing when I said I needed to learn how to nap. My parents went crazy 'cuz I never took naps as a kid, LOL :D TK, I used to do that as a teen. Wish I had listened more, 'cuz being out on one's own and learning to cook was an experience - LOL!!! Hope she gets it eventually. Renee, hope hubby continues to improve today. ~~~~~~ Need to get a schedule regarding eating food, LOL. I have no more hunger pains, so I'm going to have to learn to eat even when I don't "feel" hungry. This getting dizzy stuff is getting old. So much fun, LOL! Other than that, not much else to update :) |

there's this song my DD (16, back in '95) used to sing to me... when I'd get all LUMPY on the couch. she'd change the words a little... to go with my MS. Lump sat alone in a boggy marsh, totally emotionless except for her heart Mud flowed up into Lump's pajamas she totally confused all the passing pihranas She's lump, she's lump She's in my head She's lump, she's lump, she's lump She might be dead Lump lingered last in line for brains and the one she got was sorta MSssy and insane (The Presidents of the USA) genius teener DD's - gotta love 'em, for their ghastly sense of humor. |
Frank & Sandy- ice yuck!
I started my self on some oral roids today trying to kick it in the pants before it gets too bad! Surgery this afternoon, keeping fingers and toes crossed! Kayo thanks for the new pics! Thanks Barb,Tkirk and Jenn for all of the kind thought! Ok Vonn you can't say you have a secret and wait this long to post it....come on!!!!!!!!! |
Renee, fingers and toes crossed for the surgery.
Vonn, I'm in major suspense now. Wondering what's going on with ya. ;) ~~~~~~~~~~ I'm feeling less lumpy this morning, lol, so think this is probably going to be a project day. A little bit here and a little bit there. So just having my normal morning cup of coffee and checking in. :) |
