Renee - There is something so wrong with this guy. I cannot stop shaking my head. I wish there was more than sympathy that I could offer.

Aarcyn 05-20-2008 05:16 PM

My DH and I got back from Long Island late yesterday after a 4 day trip.

We went to see my son graduate from Hofstra University. DH had flight miles for two free tickets and enough points for the hotel as well. We got a handicapped room, really nice to have a walk-in shower.

Weather was crazy fun. Pouring rain for the ENTIRE ceremony, rain ponchos passed out. Stupid Arizona us...we did not know that even with umbrellas, the ponchos would have been good to have as well.:rolleyes:

So, I am trying to recover from the long day of travel back to AZ. Plus, the weather is too hot. Phoenix hit 110 degrees on the day we came home.:cool:

Sure was nice to be in NY for a few days.

A tour of your house wore you out? What ya do, build the Taj Mahal? LOL.

I hope you get a least a rest in Kay! Company sometimes can be so exhausting.

CayoKay 05-20-2008 06:28 PM

nah, Trish... it was a tour of the six acre farm... the whole shebang !!

first, walk to the goat acre to see Leeloo, Lila, and Leto.

then over to the pond to see Gandalf, Glinda, Gwynneth, Larry, Curly, Moe, and Connor swimming.

then, to the nursery, to see the new ducklings, the ducks hatching chickens, and the dozens and dozens of incubator-hatched chicken babies running around.

then, over to the pig acre, to see Miss Piggy, aka: Becky Bacon.

then, to the palapa, and the guinea cages to see all the new babies and mamas, and over to bunny hutches to see Brad, Janet, RiffRaff, Columbia, Magenta, Frank, and Furter...

then, off to see the cistern, the rain-catchement gutters, pipes, the holding tanks, the pumps, the filters, solar water-heater tank and system, the composting hutch, and the composting toilet, and all that boring stuff.

then, to the chicken coops to see the nest boxes, and the chickens.

then, brunch and chatting and a lovely visit (sitting DOWN, YAY !!)

:D:rolleyes::D

Oh Good Lord! You wore me out by time you got to. . . "first, walk to the goat acre to see Leeloo, Lila, and Leto." Lol.

Take it easy tonight so that you have the energy for more adventures tomorrow.

BTW - I love the pics on the Wok, Wok thread as well as all the names you give your little guys and gals.

CayoKay 05-20-2008 07:59 PM

tomorrow, I sleep ALL day, Trish, honey !!

***

and NaeNae, I'm still thinking about you, and praying for you and your children...

as I recall, even though I was on SSDI, when my ex sued for custody of our son, his ATTORNEY added in that BS about me having to pay HIS attorney's fees,

I nearly blew a friggin' GASKET over that one !!

that's the modus operandi (mode of operation) of some hostile divorce attorneys...

the more ACRIMONY they create, the more paperwork and motions and hearings and STUFF, the LONGER it goes on, the HIGHER their FEES are...

it's like squeezing blood from a TURNIP when both parties are low to moderate income.

but I just wanted you to know, it's become standard boilerplate carp in the filings of some attorneys, and your soon-to-be-ex may not even have KNOWN that carp was IN there, or allowed it after being talked into it...

the judge will see through this, and disallow it, I promise.

most judges are smart, and I pray you get a good one, dear.

love, K

Good morning all :) Wow, I missed a lot yesterday! :eek: I got my hair cut and went grochery shopping. cooked dinner and then I was done.

Gonna try and get some more mulch today to I can work on the yard some more before the warmup for the holiday. Also gonna stop by the Y to join so I can start doing some exercise.

But first, need that coffee :D

~~~~~~~
Renee, :hug: Sorry your getting the run around and little help from the base. Grrr. That makes me a little upset. As to the legal fee thing, it seems to be standard procedure from my experience with friends going through divorce, but it is very rarely granted to the one who filed unless there is proof of infidelity or such caused by the other spouse.
Lor, LOL. Not in findlay. I'm close to Columbus area. The "fin" actually stands for Finance. It's an old user name from college which is easy for me to remember.
Barb, My BBA in Finance is from Kent State University. :) My hubby and I met at another college, got in a car accident which caused us to drop out, and then we got married. Then I went back to school.
Vonn, Glad you are keeping busy and doing well in school.
Sandy, My docs' scales are always kinder than mine own, and I go by what they say too. LOL.
Kay, LOL. You made me tired too. Hope you got a chance to rest from showing your farm off.
tkrik 05-21-2008 08:44 AM
Good morning everyone! I hope to have a busy day today as long as the heat doesn't get to me. This morning I have to do all my errands within an hour or so before it gets too hot.
#1 is to get a windshield visor for my car to block the sun out. It gets dang hot in there without it and it takes the a/c in the car longer to cool it down. While my complex has covered parking it is reserved for those in the townhouses.:( Last year I was able to park under there after getting a dr's note. But they changed everything to assigned parking spaces for the people in the townhouses.:mad:
Of course I have this huge roll of canvas and can probably make my own. Hmmm, now I'm thinking . . . LOL.
I hope you all have a great day!
Just thought I would say good morning to everyone! The sun is shining here so it looks like we may finally have a nice day.
fin -- Do you ever go shopping in Polaris? I sometimes stay there overnight (Hilton Garden Inn) when I am driving back to see family. Although I probably could only handle a few stores in the mall these days before I would "poop" out. I really like the chinese restaurant at that mall. I can't remember the name right now.
Kay -- Hope you are really getting some rest today.
TK -- Sun visors are a must. Somone also told me that in the sporting goods section at WAl Mart they are selling some kind of bandana thing that you can get wet and then it stays cool all day. Might help you a little with the heat. Do you have a cooling vest? I am going to go see if my local Wal Mart has them (the bandana thing) in a little while.
Renee -- Just wanted to ket you know that I am still thinking about you and your kids.
Sandy -- My doctors scales always weigh me less than my own too. Now if they only weighed me about 50 pounds less:winky: I read your post on the endoscopy thread. I have dealt with all of the same issues. I had to go on nexium too after being on steriods last spring. The prilosec just was not working.
I lost 45 pounds last fall/spring (was not hungry during flare) and have gained 35 of it back since the fall. I am blaming neurontin. I got my appetitie back when I went on it. I always feel hungry even though I know I can't be. However, I know it is my fault too. I need to cut down on portions and make better choices. I don't really want to stop taking the neurontin since it does seem to help me.
Frank -- if you are reading this, I hope that you are feeling better and taking care of yourself.
