Good morning everyone!

Trying to wake up; I wish I liked coffee. Tea just makes me sleepy. I was kept awake most of the night by thunderstorms. It looks like it is going be one of those grey, rainy days. I am still fighting fatigue. I am going to give it a few more days and I am not feeling better I may call my doctor and try provigil. I have some samples here that I have never opened.

I figured out last night that watching food competitions on the food channel is not good for my diet.:rolleyes:

Hope everyone has a good week!

Hi everyone! Just sitting here listening to the thunder off in the distance. It doesn't look like it's coming towards us. Those south of Lasalle stay safe!

We're going to do some laundry today and hang around the house. My awning is being delivered today and we need to help take it off the truck. It will help take the heat down on the back porch. Our bedroom is scorching in the summer because we have no trees or shade anywhere.

Have a good day!

Good morning everyone!

Fin - Yeah, my brain is just taking it's time waking up too. I've been up for a couple of hours now and it still is going at the speed it should. I hope you get some of your "keep me distracted" projects done.

NaeNae - Mama and Papa must be so proud of you for doing all that cleaning. LOL. Of course, you exhausted me with your post. I feel like I did all that cleaning. :p

MX7 - A lot is an understatement. lol Don't the kids get sick of it? I am glad you are able to do this now. Things are starting to look up for you and that's awesome!

Vonn - I want to hear all about your A's with the classes you are taking this session. I am still praying that something works out for you SOON, my little vagabond. Suitcase living is not fun.

Barb - I'm sorry you are still fighting the fatigue. Sometimes when I get bad a Coke or Pepsi helps. Tea gets me too jittery and coffee does nothing - I just like the taste. I am sure the sugar in the Coke and Pepsi has something to do with it. Can you squeeze one in to your diet? Speaking of diets, you are right about the food shows. Although I am not dieting (I really should be though), anytime I watch those shows it makes me hungry and want to try those recipes. However, I am not Paula Deen! See my previous posts on cooking. lol. Hang in there sleepy head and let us know how you are doing.

Good morning everyone else. I hope you all have a great day!

~~~
No update here. We had more bad storms last night it is muggy out today (60ish% humidity - which is a lot when you are used to 8%). We are in our monsoon season and things got crazy a couple of nights ago as well as last night. Trees down and everything.:eek: DD18 called last night and had just left her friend's house and wanted to turn around and spend the night. Too much flash flooding going on. I told her that it was a good idea to just stay put. No sense in her trying to get home and hydroplaning all the way here.
DDs got their MACbook back yesterday. It is bittersweet for me. They now can catch up with all their friends who are all over the country as well as a few out of the country for the summer. However, it was nice when they didn't have the computer as they "did" things together. Sister bonding. It was great. I told them that they need to continue that and maybe plan 1 day a week that they set aside to do something together. They liked that idea.
Hi Guys and Gals,
I survived last night, the drunks all came in before 11 and passed out without incident's and the Law & Order are all reruns but I watch them anyway, just like right now:)
I love storms and rain even if it makes me hurt more!
SandyC 07-07-2008 04:20 PM
I love storms too Junie! I always said when I get another house, in Tennessee by the way, it will have a tin roof at least over my bedroom. haha
FinLady 07-07-2008 04:41 PM
Ah rain. :rain: They are predicting storms through tonight into tomorrow. keeping fingers crossed that it doesn't knock the internet out again. LOL - it would be my luck with the computer geek out of town. :rolleyes:
Waiting to hear back from my NMSS chapter to see if they have any volunteer opportunities coming up. Also talked to a nice lady who runs a support group in the area. She sounded really cool, so may give it a try next month.
Got some of the smaller projects done today, mainly since I had to make a trip to the grochery store. Hot and Humid, yuck! Have one of my big projects planned for tomorrow. Trying to remind my stubborn self to break it up into little sections so I don't overdo.
~~~~~~

Vonn, :hug: and prayers everything works out for ya. Hope school goes well this session

Barb, I never watch shows that have to do with food. I find myself with the munchies if I do, LOL :D

sabimax 07-07-2008 05:43 PM

Barb, I love that show on the food network..my daughter who is 13 got me hooked..wish it was earlier in the night..as now less rest..more tired out from work today...especially cause both little ones had tough sleeping nights...

Maddie had a high fever a bit ago...up to 103.4...then Ciara showed up with a wierd rash..that would be around her arms...then later clear and then on leg....like wierd..maybe allergic to something?? not sure.....

Glad I got all thinking hot pink and excited all hehehee

hugss to you all, sarah (who isnt hot pink lol at least not yet lol naaaaa not for me)

SandyC 07-07-2008 07:11 PM

Sarah, check Ciara for a tic bite. Sometimes they cause rashes.

I do remember Chris and Nik having a rash all over their bodies that came and went. The doctor thought it was from some strawberries they ate earlier. It never happened again though. Weird. Chris did have contact dermatitis real bad on his finger tips and toes. We finally figured out it was from Elmers Glue. He was somehow allergic to it.

I am thinking hot pink isn't for me either. Maybe a real pretty lavander color. hahahahaha

tkrik 07-07-2008 07:22 PM

Oh, lavender is pretty. Thinking, thinking, thinking . . .lol

Sarah, I hope both your little ones start feeling better. In addition to Sandy's suggestion, is it possible that both girls have the same kind of virus? Some viruses will do that as well.

It hasn't been as hot out and I feel energized, like someone switched a button to ON. LOL. I've been running around cleaning, did a few errands, now cooking dinner, checking in here, putting another coat of gesso on 4 stretched canvases, playing with the kitten, etc., etc. While it feels great, I know it is only temporary until it heats up again. :mad: But I sure am enjoying accomplishing things all at once instead of bits and pieces.
