hey all .. well, the 2nd place ... only $6 difference between the rent ... but here in town ... and Tricia said something that I didn't think of ...
and the other thing .. gas is over $4/gal ... and the less I have to spend on gas, the more $$ I'd have .. right? thinking and praying for yous - then it makes my decision easier ... |
Just a quick note -- my garage is fine. Thank goodness... because it is attached to my house. An actual business that has a garage lost its roof.

Hey everyone! We got the awning up and it's so nice. I have to adjust the pitch later as it's hanging two inches lower on one side. Other than that, laundry and waiting for the urologist to call. Jim is having symptoms again and I think we are going to need to try therapeutic antibiotics again. Ugh, he just stopped the meds last Monday and already the UA smells and he has burning. At this point if the meds help him feel better we have no choice. Maybe being on them for a longer period will help.
Kay!!!!!! I too hope these are the same guys who killed the others so you can rest easier. I am relieved big time! No crapping my pants anymore. haha Renee, I am so sorry your going through all this. I so know what you mean about traveling two hours away for a doctor. Jim has done that for four years now. It seems getting a specialist is easier in the boonies than a primary huh? I am stuck with my primary since he's the only guy around. Thank goodness he's not the worst. If I were you I would go to the ER and get meds temporarily. Do you have a CC or does mom have a CC until you get reimbursed by Tricare? Barb, we didn't get storms at all last night. We had the storm clouds and a bit of rain but nothing major. I was out putting up the awning in the rain. lol Julie, (((hugs)))), I hope things get better. I will go look at your thread in a minute. Weave, sending out the good vibes for your daughter. Sorry all this made you nervous. I would be too as a mom. Vonn, I think I personally would go ahead and see what the lake side apartment says. That is closer for your friends to help you out and probably better for transportation. Let us know what you find out. Trish, goodness girl, is there anything you haven't done? lol How's the painting coming along? Since my mom isn't coming up Jim wants me to use the room for a studio! How sweet is that? He is going to buy me all my supplies to get started. I know a sketch book is my first step! I have the brushes, pencils and watercolors...whooohoo!! Frank and Deb, hope this finds you all doing well today. Frank, I couldn't spank you, Deb wouldn't care for that mister! lol I'll just hand her the paddle OK? I hope I haven't missed anyone and please know I don't mean to. Hugs to everyone!! |
Sandy - You haven't used the studio yet? I know I have MS moments but did you make one of rooms a studio a long time ago? Wasn't that you?
Either way, get in there girl! Set it up, order supplies (Cheap Joes/**** Blicks - UGH! This silly censoring won't let me type that name. :)), and get busy. (As if you aren't busy enough. lol) |
I was supposed to make the back shed my studio room but it took over as a storage place instead. lol

lol. As I put in my repurposing thread, I repurposed my dining area to a painting area/eating. I just put everything away before dinner and/or when I'm done for the night and put a tablecloth over the drafting table. Hey, I only have 900 square feet to work with here. lol

thanks, everyone .. .
I did it ... I'm able to move in to the 'lake-front' apartment today (well, as soon as their computer system is back up!) ... my friends are relieved and happy that I chose to stay here in town ... and I did call the other place and apologized and thanked her for her efforts about the opportunity there - but, it mainly came down to the cost of gas/travel and having my friends close by ... and yes, there is a quilt shop here in town! but more down in Madison and surrounding areas .. like over towards Racine ... I've never had this before - the opportunity to chose .. because I just had to take what was available before ... and now, I have a nice view and (I believe) a bit larger ... and can get rid of my micro ... and also will have a dishwasher! will keep you posted ... I'm sorta sick to my stomache for having to call someone to decline the offer - because I had originally said yes, but we didn't sign anything until this Friday ... so, it's still okay, right?? (see?? I'm so unsure of things ..) ... but, it will be okay! |
Good for you, Vonn !
