Sarah, when is your next appointment? I remember you saw a new neuro and had an older one. Which one will you be going back to?
Hope your feeling better soon. You've been through so much and do so much. |
I really hate it when i write a post and it disappears,
Sarah please rest when you can plenty of fluids, very important to help keeping body core temps down, try to take care of yourself:hug: |
I dont know when I will ever see a neuro again,....
Sandy, the jist of it is... the old neuro quickly was trying to get me to say I have headaches... the other neuro that I travelled for said not MS (no more testing just looked at the MRIs I had brought)...that it is fibromyalgia..I went with that....read all I can...(my mom has it) then came back and saw my primary....asked her if I should see a rheumatologist..she said for what...I said the fibro...she said the neuro didnt list that...and she did the pressure point check for fibro...and said , Sarah honestly I dont think this is all from fibro and I dont feel you have fibro...as nothing hurt during the pressure points....I think it is neurological. that same neuro..also lost the stuff I brought there that I asked to be sent back to me.... then I went ahead last year to get checked by yet another neuro...who basically said...all was inner ear issues, and adult ADD....( which the neuropysch that tested me for my cog issues said not ADD that something memory issue related to something neurological) this neuro said to taht...YES IT IS ADD....and lets get you on meds right away...and have you see a shrink for all the other sxs.... down to her thinking I was needing help....guess due to tears....when she wouldnt listen to me....I asked her if sxs of inner ear or ADD go away when pregnant...she said oh not sure...but YOUR Sxs go away when you are pregnant cause you are HAPPY when preggo...this was after going over my past history of losing a baby once full term....hello..... anyhow....so ...that is my neuro visits... neuros always look at me and say IT IS NOT NEUROLOGICAL....then side drs...be it a ENT, Opthamologist, PT when preggo for my back, and others have asked when I talk about my sxs....HAVE YOU BEEN TESTED FOR MS!! anyhow..sorry sore subject...no I dont for sure know who I would see again neurologically...speaking.....and hubby and I are tired of going and being told I am normal...when so struggling.....tired of the expense and time and emotional roller coaster of me looking into things again....and not finding out anything.... someday, when I fall over, and cant get up..or if this is MS, have real damage and they say...OH you have MS>...I will be very upset with them all.....if it is MS>.or if it is anything neurological that could have been helped out prior to then.... sorry venting... ok, I did take a good nap...then I did venture out a small walk with the four girls...now eventually going to bed...work tomorrow...at 7am...hugssss and thanks all, sarah |
I am sorry you typed all that Sarah, I do remember that now. Sometimes it helps to get it out. I can only imagine how frustrating you feel. I am glad your feeling a little better but know we're here if you need to let it out. I wish I had a magic wand to get you a dx and fast. Whether it's ms or not, something needs to give. Sending hugs to you.

Darn it Sarah, those doctors are missing some of their marbles. Anyway, I hope you'll feel better soon Sweetie.
Hi Everybody else, I hope everybody's doing ok and having a good weekend. :grouphug: No update here, just a quiet weekend, but we've had lots of rain, almost 4 inches in our gauge in the past few days. The sump pump is running a lot. I plan to veg this weekend, and maybe do some house and yard work tomorrow if I can swing it. I have some Provigil and avoid taking it, but I think I need to at least a few days a week. :Ponder: |
Sandy, dont worry I didnt mind typing it...as you said,...sometimes typing it..gets it out of me...hehe hugsss and thanks for caring so much :)

jeez thats great make her type all that and now you remember lol just kidding you sandy i vaguely remeber what she had said last time too,
I feel guilty in some regards, I knew something was wrong with me( theres a loaded statement) MS was never a thought and when i went in the time back in 2006, it was a blasted headache I had that made them search more than they normally did, and the docs and nurses were just as freaked about the dx as i was. Sorry you are having so much trouble being dx if i may pry, have u had an mri with contrast? and is there any chance the budget will afford an MS speicalist, like I said i feel bad at times, yes I went through a limbo period of not knowing, 7 yrs and even wondering if the docs suggestions of a shrink was warranted. but deb told me no on shrink she felt and knew something was amist, with my body. its just the biased assumtions of the docs and too many assumptions first and foremost I am but a ignorant naive, what do I know I am but the paitent, did I go to med school for 3000 yrs, noooooooooooooooooooo, second one is if they cant answer it its a mental issue, and with me a third one I am male men dont get MS, on that assumption even the hospital doc who had taken care of me many times apologized, said it caught them all off gaurd, me being a male and possibly having MS let alone having it. guess what i am blabby on about, even with mine being an unaware limbo it was still a period of time before I was DXed and that was by pure chance of a severe headache, which ironically i have been told too many times those two, headaches and ms dont have anything incommon, again ironically this pasat flair up doc told me if the lesion is in the spinal they can cause severe headaches:thud: sorry for going on , like sandy, wish i had a magic wand or words that could heal all, but all I have is words of kindness and friendship and prayers of strength to persevere  |
Thanks Frank,
Yes had MRI with contrast on head..the spine one I would have to look back on contrast or not.... the neuro I travelled for was listed as a MS specialist on some sites...the one who lost my stuff..and said it was fibro no new testing..and didnt say fibro in my report..... anyhow..someday maybe travel again but to Mayo....till then I just live with it....and when in to primary focus on what I can do to help sxs...hugss and thanks again, sarah |
