I wish my camera still worked, Trish !!

I'd show you an unbelievable SEA of ducklings...

a total 'cute-overload' of adorable babies, that I've taught to follow me, by clicking my tongue, and making *kiss-kiss* noises.

there's over 100, but they move so fast, I can't get an accurate count.

never mind the diplopia, and nystagmus, LOL !!

the duckie-baybies fill my heart with joy, as I watch their antics.

and there's still 6 more duck-mamas on nests... wheeeeeeeeeeeee !!!!!!!!!

both my goats (Leeloo and Lilah) are pregnant... and Hadassah (a turkey hen) has laid five eggs, and six of my chickens are setting on nests too...

and three guinea pig moms have birthed litters of 3, 4, and 5 babies.

it's so exciting.

the only thing I do special is play with my animals, and talk and sing to them, and feed them really good.

the best part is, we've sold enough duck and chicken eggs, ducklings and chickies and guinea pigs to pay for ALL the feed...

the only hard part is the twice-daily feedings.

I get back to the house exhausted, and need my hubby to remove my boots and socks, because I can barely move...

I come back stunned with exhaustion, alas... but my heart is happy.

another benefit is that every single day, I get to see wildlife, like quash (coatimundi, a raccoon relative) and agouti (gibnut, looks like a giant squirrel) and pretty little white herons who visit my pond, as I sit on the palm-shaded bench, and toss feed to my critters.

:D

barb, hope the dizzyness subsides for ya soon. :hug:

Frank, Sorry to hear deb is sick. :hug:

~~~~~~
Got most of the stuff on my "to do" list done. Some stuff still left over, but that's ok. I'm in "happy tired" mode right now. At least I reminded myself to take small, frequent breaks during my running around, lol.
I did post a new painting in my albulm. Loaded a little weird into it, but that's ok.
Have a good night everyone. :grouphug:
Barb - Hope the dizziness goes away soon. When does school start?
Frank - Sorry you all are sick. Hope everyone starts feeling better soon.
Kay - Hot dam* woman!!! What are you feeding those animals? Horny toads? lol
Kay, I love that phrase - "cute overload". What a great description of a sea of ducklings. :)
thanks, Sandy & Frank ...
they *may* call back (if this Disability Director is familiar with a map) ... and I have a call in to my regular doctor about the appointment (and tummy issues) ...
will be mum about the quilting corp... and really - I'm only volunteering for the program anyways ... yes, I've really thought this thru! and for income? my friends have been helping me hang on until something comes thru for me .. and will use my cane ...
will make a road trip out of it, and may just go up closer on that Friday ... the appointment isn't until 1220pm on that saturday ...
PS - yep, Frank ... I've learned so much from everyone on NT about 'their' doctors ... at least I'm going in the right direction .. .. so this is good news!
and - I won't be going to school at that time either ..
Vonn - when I had to go to their doctor, it lasted about 4 1/2 hrs. Hope yours goes better.
um, I shred the cabbage hearts very fine for the babies as their beaks are still soft.
and they get a special mix of grains my husband mixes up...
and big pieces for the teenagers, and whole leaves for the adults...
and I toss a pound of whole dried corn... they LOVE me !!
Hello Sandy the two plants you picked up are beautiful, Deb likes them both, did anyone say to you the rose of sharon would attract humming birds? for some reason i seem to recall it does,
weegot5kiz 08-20-2008 10:09 PM
well things did not go as planned today, so in the morning, instead of having to refuel the car, that's done for her, also got beautiful rose with a water thingy on it and a sweet card that sings" how sweet it is to be loved by you" figured she passed out and now would be good time to leave early for kid at work and leave her a little surprise when she goes to work in her car
hope youe morning is grand
peace
