Edit: I just checked the thermometer and it's 76 degrees in the house. That means it's approx 100 degrees warmer here than in Minnesota right now. :)

Ohhh..Why doesn't that make me feel any better? :D:D:D

snark!

but that's not really fair, Polar.

I lived in the Sierra Nevada foothills for 17 years.

had a woodstove, and propane tank for backup heat.

I chopped firewood, shoveled snow and scraped ice off windshields with the best of 'em

California's not all beaches!

To be honest, at 40 below, I'D disappear! :D
The NPR station in Int'l Falls put the thermometer together. They're really quite proud of surviving that kind of cold. Even with a garage and and engine block heater, there aren't enough layers that could possibly make me wanna go outside & start the car in that kind of cold. I have enough trouble here in the warm, southeastern part of Minnesota (only got to 18 below the other night)..:D

Good Morning all :) Having coffee for wake up and warm up.

It was really cold yesterday. Today it's supposed to warm up to 33. The part that makes it fun is that it's snowing, probably will turn into sleet and rain, then back to snow. Ah, the roads are going to be interesting. It's times like this I miss living in places where people are used to driving in this stuff.

As to the list, upstate NYers don't worry until it's too cold to ski too. LOL :D:D
