I love FREE SAMPLES!
Freebies!
Free Coupons!
And did I say FREE SAMPLES?
:D

One of the greatest things is
*laughs*
I would call my mom up and tell
her I will be getting a Free Sample
and if she wanted one? (Sometimes
she will, most of the time she doesn't,
so it's double-free Samples for me!)

So one comes to my mailbox and the
other one goes to her!

I LOVE IT!

And Did I Say How Much I Love Free
SAMPLES???

These often aren't itty bitty stuff, these
are the real big package - I've had the
first run of everything - before they hit
on the store shelves ... they come with
a survey; where they want you to try it
out (IE: Clairol Hair Coloring) and while
you don't give your name, just your age,
the package product ID number, and how
it worked, feel, and was effective, and often
they would come in like 3-4 papers, one for
each week. And each week they want to know
if your hair "faded", "spotted", "remained the
same", etc. And plus it came with its own
envelope too - prepaid. So it was a simple
thing to do, fill in the dots, and after a few
weeks, mail it in.

This would work great if you had a family member
who lived nearby and didn't care about you collecting
free samples. In fact, they often come up with coupons
in the mail too - additional bonuses!

Cat Food, Food, all kinds of stuff.

YES - REAL FOOD! I've had that shipped overnight
via a cooler, frozen, and we had no idea what it was
except it was from Tyson. (Chicken Dinner) And that
one - Ummm ... let's put it this way ... my son after
a few bites of it said, "Let's go out to eat!" We ordered
Pizza that night!! I'm still not sure what to this day
that was supposed to be but it was THUMBS DOWN
ALL THE WAY THROUGH! That was the only product
we didn't like.

*laughs*

I learned a very valuable lesson. Do not buy your pets medications from the vet. My vet was charging me $1.67/pill for his arthritis med. I looked it up on petmedsexpress and found it for .97 with all the discounts. When I called my vet for a written Rx, they offered to match the price. I was so ticked, that they knowlingly are ripping people off that I got the written Rx anyways. I plan on doing this for all their flea/tick stuff and their heartworm meds too. Absolutely ridiculous.

Good news is that I saved $126 on the order and shipping is free!

I signed up at Barnes & Noble.com and they constantly send me % off coupons by email that can be used in the store or on line. Then I order books for gifts on line, get my % off, and if I spend over $25 there is no shipping and handling. My daughter's books are quite expensive and they are ones she is collecting. I usually get her some for her birthday and using the % off and no shipping and handling, I save quite a bit of money.

I bank with Wachovia - and do all my banking online (direct deposit, pay bills, transfer, etc.). I signed up for the "Way 2 Save" program and already have $7.00 in my little savings account!! :Rich:

They take $1.00 out of your checking account each time you pay a bill online or make a checkcard purchase. It's a painless way to put a little money into savings without really thinking about it.

My son signed up, too, and he already has $10.00 in his account. He's really into saving money so he can retire at 40! Good for him - I hope he can. He showed me his 401K statement last night and that little future Donald Trump is putting $560 a month into his 401K plan - and the company he works for matches up to half. So he's well on his way. Wish I could have had that much sense when I was 20.

1. We did a refi, reduced $1200 in bills to $139 a month and cut the interest more than half :D
2. Got a better plan with cell phones...savings: $60 per month
3. Adjusted insurance on all three trucks in the house...Savings: $700 per 6 months
4. Cut smoking in half....Savings: $200 a month

I forgot about this thread....so here's my updates.
