Go blue! Okay, maybe you could rephrase your question to isolate the simple part for me, I was too cheap to go to M, I settled for GVSU.

A whole bunch of things! I try to learn as much as I can from every angle. I do not mean to opine, but rather, to explore possibilities.

Hi AMN, I don't feel like I am gaining any info on your concerns yet. This isn't any good because I don't feel like we are communicating and I don't know what to do about it. You have probably followed this issue for years and have all of this info. I have never had this issue as a concern and have never heard anyone speak of it in detail.

I agree completely, I don't have a specific agenda in all this, I am interested in a simplification of the naturalization process to help expedite the citizenship of illegal immigrants. So, I try to learn as much as I can about the process and how it accommodates those who must use it. In its current state, immigration procedure is relatively unenforced, fairly complicated and difficult for the majority of immigrants.

I was led to introducing this notion here by your question: "Are we a country of complainers?" My position is that those who complain about something, or choose to debate a topic are responsible to understand what it is they wish to complain about or debate and to be prepared to defend their opinions with citations or documented examples.

It is not only too easy, but just plain apathetic to complain about something unless we are prepared to understand the roots, current state, and greater meaning of the issue.

usa isnt the wizard of oz and isnt GOD

we cant help the whole world and our own people i dont think
100 years ago there were no airplanes
so now we have air travel and people can fly in and out cheaply and you think anyone and or all can fly to my country and take over? i dont think so

but this isnt the only issue -the government is giving special rights to illegals that the poorer classes in usa dont have and jobs too and its dividing the usa and balkanizing us

but this is what they want i think-to divide us

people from all races are opposed to illegal immigrtion

I'm a Conservative and an Independent - I think that this country would be much better off if we weren't giving schooling, medical care and any thought of amnesty to illegals - they denigrate all those who immigrated before them legally - those who became American citizens - who have fought for this country - and who salute our flag - not put theirs above - this was a melting pot - all the Irish and Italians, etc that came here legally in the 1900's and were denied jobs didn't get a handout - they found work and supported themselves and their families -

Yep.

Something about a 10 foot pole with this thread so I'll just address the original question.

We say 'Ouch' when something hurts us.
We start complaining when the pain won't go away or we can't find a way to rectify the wrong we encountered.

But that's just me.

LOL Sandy, the Cicero cops must have gone to the Cleveland Police academy. Take your beer, smack you around if you mouthed off, give you a ride home, but better than a DWI? Had to pick your car keys up the next day at the local cop restaurant, be sober when you show up.

The must have done a lot of cooking also, they always took our spices(oregano).

School of hard knocks is sometimes a better teacher? Didn`t take many lessons for me to decide to follow a different path. The local cops could tell the campus clowns from the real problem people.

ROTFLMAO! It must have been part of the Academy bi-laws! I have to say when a cop reached for the billie club we ran like scared little rats! It was like when your dad would place his hand on his belt! I can't tell you how many bushes became my hide out from them!

LOL my cousins went to the same high school as me and my brothers, we didn`t hang out together though, dudes were dumb.

At a high school football game one of the cousins climbs over the fence to get in (half drunk, under age, 18 at the time for low test beer). Dude is confronted by the man about his illegal entry to the game, no brains, no story, so he sucker punched the cop, 150 pound weakling against a 200 pound cop with a billy club and gun for back up? Moron didn`t even get a chance to see the cop wasn`t happy before the billy club hit him.

My friends, are you going to help Elmer? dudes your cousin! do I look stupid? you help, the moron. A learning experience, hard knock style, he never hit a cop again!

Being a cop is a tough job, just too many morons out there.
