Yes Kitty...I have to be self sufficient with DH working out of town all week and having a farm....Gotta do what we gotta do.....but thier aint nothing wrong by having ower tools to take off some of the load.... That leaf blower is next on my list......(after I get this office/spare room finished, cost of paint is expensive) I want the black-n-decker that uses the same battery as my weed-eater... Kelly is yours weedeater and Sandy your leaf blower Black-n-decker? I too remember (and miss) the days of the homemade cards and gifts. Sis used to make me cards for every lil holiday until this year....guess she thinks she getting to old or something now. |
My leaf blower is a Poulan 24cc 4 cycle blower. LOL But, I have the Black and Decker trimmer and weeder. LOVE THEM BOTH! I would have bought the cordless blower but couldn't find it anywhere.

Belated Mother's Day
I am still in shock!!!
My oldest son (who BTW forgot to call yesterday) is totally forgiven!!! He got his longish, scraggly hair cut!!! We're talking very, very short! It looks great!!! Haven't seen it this short in maybe 2 years. This solves the problem of when we (eventually) have a death in the family, how much would it cost me to get him to cut it??? |
Can you believe that I never got anything?!? Not even that coconut bra I wanted so bad! :p But I didn't put out much either, I have to admit. Since my wife doesn't really like me now, I just gave some money to the kids to buy her something. Saturday was Amelia Day, the one day a year when we have our community gathering. It's filled with entertainment, and people set up booths all over the courtyard to sell different things, mostly food and crafts.
I still haven't gotten my mother anything yet, either. I wanted to take all the kids over to her house on Sunday, but my daughters HAD to go shopping for some special clothes, and my son spent Saturday night with a friend, and didn't get back until late on Sunday. I haven't forgotten my mother, though. I'll just be a little late. She knows how much I love her, because I tell her. I hope the rest of you mothers made out like bandits, though. :D |

This is what I got:D I was so shocked. I've wanted one for so long. We had gone to the nursery and bought our mom's flowers for mothers day. While there, we got us 2 hybiscus, 2 hanging baskets. Then we went back into town and got some decorative pots for planting. Bought more plants to go in them. So I thought that was my mothers day gift. Then when DD and DH got up on Sunday, they gave me the camera. They spoil me:wink: DAY |
Oh I just love the stories of the surprise stuff.....
A hair cut.....a camera.....wow.........great gifts.......... I dont know if its cool of me or not but...I have taken to giving EXACT details of what I want for holidays now.......I look at it like this....if DH is gonna spnd the cash I might as well make sure its something worth buying (that "I" want) ya know....... Is that shelfish of me? I just figure with the prices of everything so over the top these days its smart not to end up with a $50 chrystal clock when I really wanted a new weed eater.......make sence? |
No, not selfish at all. I started doing that when Jim bought me a black skirt and a hot pink jacket with huge gold buttons. Yeah.
