I do my tax's via turbotax. It ask you how you want your refund sent. Also had a section this year for the releif check. I clicked the direct deposit form for it.

We received our tax return via direct deposit. We have yet to receive our stimulus check! Oh boy.

We recieved this by internet today.

Dear Valued Customer,

We want to provide you with the most up–to–date information about the tax rebate to which you may be entitled.

Recently, you may have received a letter from the IRS advising you when to expect your Economic Stimulus Payment (rebate). That IRS letter may have inadvertently left off some important information. Taxpayers who chose to have their tax preparation fees deducted from their federal tax refund will receive their tax rebate in the mail, not via direct deposit.

Our records show that you chose this payment option in TurboTax. As a result, the IRS has determined that you will receive your tax rebate in the mail. This may result in you receiving your rebate on a date later than expected.

This situation, while not unique to TurboTax, is understandably causing some concern and confusion. To help further clarify the situation, below is the most current IRS rebate payment processing schedule, as well as additional resources about the tax rebates.

I hope you find this information helpful. If you still have questions, the best source for the most up-to-date information is www.irs.gov (see the "Rebate Payment Questions" link).

Sincerely,

Bob Meighan

Vice President, TurboTax Customer Advocacy

I'm an accountant in a medium-sized CPA firm and we just found out this past week some of our clients aren't getting the $300 per child as promised. The IRS is blaming in on human error and a computer glitch which is a bunch of crappola because all of our returns are efiled. The error is on their end, not yours so you might have to wait a little longer.

I got mine direct deposit on May 9th, my income tax refund was also direct deposit. What is weird, my son turned 19 this year, graduates in a week, no income tax allowance for him on our taxes even though he was a full time high school student.

We are not direct deposit, aur accountant CPA (my brother) filed electronically way before 14th (shoot, I had my refund before then) and DH (who was 1st named filer) is 09. I am 59, have not received anything. If IRS has made an error, isn't it intesting they don't when you owe the money. I'll believe the refund when I see it. Hope to be proven wrong.
