Well...... I work at the Johnson Space Center. I'm actually the Center Operations Directorate Mission Manager for STS-124 (the next shuttle flight). I get every third mission.
I'm in and out of the control room so ya might get a glimpse of me on NASA TV. I don't have a console there. My "desk" (I use this term loosely) is in the mission control power plant. I rotate between the White FCR, FCR-1, Blue FCR, and Red FCR (flight control rooms - shuttle, space station, hubble, training respectively). I kinda like my job. SSssshhh - don't tell NASA that I have MS. They don't know. I'm not a contractor - I'm NASA direct. Tom Oh - your video link - that's shuttle FCR. Juan was mission manager for that mission. I was off - doing my non mission job (engineer - projects). |

Neat Tom, That oughta be...........fun I bet you do more than 'fun'. I thought thats what your answer might be.
I read that crazy red ants (or some sorta ants) are around your area (but it mighta been Fla???). They like to go 'attack' electronic stuff. Right away I thought of the electonics they (the electronics) must be all over outside at the space station. Any trouble at home or there, yet? Last edited by lor; 05-21-2008 at 06:34 PM. |
