Default A guy just made a pass at me!!!!

AND I'M ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTED!!!

I strutted home laughing my head off.

I was at Dunkin Donuts (alone, because Alan goes to bed late and gets up late). So I just enjoy my time reading my newspaper. Dunkin Donuts has a little upstairs room with tables and chairs.

So every morning, I go there and usually some of my neighbors drop in, sit and chat, or just pass by and say hi. Everyone is extremely neighborly and friendly and I adore the coffee.

So TODAY, something a bit different happened.

I finished up my breakfast, folded my newspaper, and I descended the small stairway. A man sitting at a table starts talking to me. I did not understand him from the distance I was at. He motioned me over. Now one would think that Melody would NOT go over to a strange man just because he motioned me over.

Well, all thoughts of danger went to the wind, and he got my curiosity. I thought he had to tell me something.

I said "excuse me, I could not hear what you said". And he smiles and says "what are you doing up there?" I said" "Why, I read my newspaper".

He then motions across the table to the empty chair and goes "How about sitting down and joining me". I was so surprised at this I just looked at him. Then I saw the twinkle in his eyes. BELIEVE ME HE HAD A TWINKLE!!!

I just smiled and said "Have a nice day". He laughed and said "are you sure you won't join me?" and I said again: "Have a nice day".

I walked out laughing my head off.

You'd be surprised how a little thing like that makes one hold in their stomach, walk a bit straighter, etc. etc.

I'm not sure if I should tell Alan.

He'd either go and try and find the guy, or he'll laugh and say "I bet you'll be conceited all day long".

Hey, I'm 60. This was a nice day booster, believe me.
