I just got a coupon for Lane Bryant and their Cacique bras are buy 2 get 2 free. So for about 60.00 you can get 4 bras. They come in all different sizes and colors from hot pink to lacy black. Even with designs on them.

Oh and melody they come with a air chamber thingy that you can take out so maybe that would help with your half sizing thing. The air pocket helps the girls come together nicely instead of trying to migrate under the armpits or down to the waist :p ...Sue

Wait a minute!!!!!

Bras come with AIR POCKETS AND AIR CHAMBER THINGS.

I must go and check this out.

Oh, and here's a laugh.

Alan and I just went to Dunkin. He's off to Beth Israel Hospital so they can check out how his boot is doing.

I wore my new bra (the one that has air in most of it).

I put on a pink top.

Alan goes. "Wow, you really lost weight and that gave you bigger breasts".

I just looked at him, deadpanned and went "Are you out of your mind, these are not my breasts". Alan said: "What do you mean those are not your breasts, whose breasts are they??"

I fell down laughing. I explained that the bra does all the work.

He said 'Man, you would never know".

So I finished dressing, we go around the corner, do the Dunkin thing, he leaves for his doctor visit, and I am walking home. I bump into to neighbors (also friends), and one goes 'wow, nice top, it gives you a nice shape on top". I exclaim, "these are not my breasts". After laughing, one of them goes "where did you buy that bra, I want to get one for myself". She's 77 years old by the way.

Further down the block, another neighbor/friend, stops me and says 'wow, you're all in pink, I like that top, it fits great". Wanting to make sure I knew what she was talking about, I said 'it looks great in the bustline, right?" and she goes 'yeah". I said 'it's my new bra'

First thing out of her mouth. "The BRA DOES THAT?? WHERE DID YOU GET THat BRA?? I said "At Kings Department store".

Guess where Melody is heading right now??

lol

Sue:

Here's a link to the bras you were talking about:

I couldn't find anything to do with air chambers, etc. Can you direct me to the bras that have these thingees inside them??

Thanks much.

We bra girls have to stick together.

Hi Melody, all it is is a little soft plastic kidney shaped bag that goes inside the bra sort of on the outside of the cup. It helps to lift and push them together. It is probably 1 inch by 3.5 inches.

It is filled with air but you can't take out air or add more. You can take them out or leave them in. You really don't feel them when they are in, they just make you look better.

If you have a Lane Bryant by you just go in and take a look...Sue

You guys are crackin me up! :D

I'm glad someone brought up the Cacique bras. I stopped by Lane Bryant at lunch to check them out. Though, they didn't have sizes smaller than 38 (except online). So they suggested trying a 38C so I did in several styles. They were really comfortable.

Though I sure wish they still had the buy 1 get 1 at half price. Can't afford 2 of them right now.

So Melody!!! Do tell! Was that a Cacique you had on????

Not sure if anyone responded to this; I read most of the posts in the thread so I may have missed if someone did:

I want someone to explain to me, how, after losing 100 plus pounds, over the course of 10 or so years, I only went down 1 BRA SIZE!!!

Boobies are glands. Glands don't reflect weight loss, but body fat respective of, let's say, the surrround or back.

If I were to lose weight, it's doubtful much reduction would happen in the boobie area. No more than it would effect other glands such as salivary.

Okay, back to the regulary scheduled program :D.

P.S.: Unlike every other female relative, I was in the wrong line when boobie sizes were assigned; they're all "well-endowed." Until my doc put me on BC (to control hemorraghing - sp? - and slow the progression of early onset osteoporosis, and when I started getting steroid injections) people were constantly "accusing" me of being anorexic, and I ate like a pig.

Nordstrom's (department store) "attendants" insisted that I shop in the "little girl's" area. Right. Like that was going to happen.

Victoria's Secret store "attendant" whipped out a measuring tape and insisted that she knew my size better than I did/do. She wanted to measure me in front of other "clients." She was not a soft-spoken woman either. She may as well have been on a PA system (well, the same goes for the Nordstrom's women).

My thought: Thank goodness for BC and for steroid injections! :D

Hi.

No it was not a Cacique bra that I have on. Just took it off. It was a $3.99 bra from my local department store.

I did go back to the store where I got the Nipple Cover thingees. I decided I do not want air in the cup. I walked into the store and the same guy was there and I figured if we had already had a discussion about Nipple Covers, then WHAT COULD I NOT ASK THIS GUY!!!!!

So I just said: "I have a C cup, but the problem is I don't fill out a C cup. Is there a thing that I can place inside the cup to make me fill it out?" and he goes "oh certainly, you want Push Up Pads!!" I replied "I do???" And he takes these two ridiculous things in a packet and puts the packet in front of me. Looked like two little things. They cost $9.99. I DID NOT PURCHASE THESE. I thanked him, went home, took a whole bunch of paper napkins, folded them in half and stuffed them underneath my bra, (thinking that they would push up the breasts to fill out the cup".

Well, it didn't happen. I needed MORE than a bunch of paper napkins, let me tell you!!!!

I think, that while this bra SAID it was a 42 C, that it really is a 42D. That's why the cup is SO big!!!

But I can wear it and no one knows. They just think I have great boobs. lol
