Summers are what I enjoy about being an at home mom. For years I
have taken(for no charge) friends of my children for weeks at a time.
This helps the parents out and I dont have to worry about playdates.

Weve got an ;inground pool, quads, dirtbikes all on a few acres with hundreds
of acres surrounding us. Ive never sent my kids to too many camps as
we have camp at our house. I love to see them build huge forts with
blankets in our family room, I love when they put on shows or plays. I
feel like the rest of ;the year is sooooooo scheduled that it is nice to
just hang in the summer.

Enjoy your summer everyone, we have one more week of school. Im
leaving in two hours to help with field day! Its not too hot out so this
should be fun.

Sox, my boys used to do the same thing!! They had a couple of friends in the neighborhood that always seems to end up at my house. I didn't mind 'cause then I knew where my boys were and what they were doing.

They also rode in the laundry basket down the staircase!! it was loud and a little nerve wracking at first but they had a ball!!

I really do miss those days.

Taffy makes it home from work on the last day of school.
Too tired to climb the steps into the house, she crawls and continues to crawl to the sofa. Once splatted on the sofa, in a weaken voice she starts to sing...

"school's out for summer" or how Taffy likes to say it..."school's out for summar".

Summer plans?

My boys have been home for a few weeks from college. I just said today that I need to get out and mow the yard to keep my tummy from hanging over. They wont even let me do dishes! I never thought I'd say that! lol

Jim and I may stay here to pay off the house before we go to Tennessee. It occured to me that if we wait 5-10 years we could be grandparents by then! Oh my. lol
