Fake fireworks....a cute little girl lip synching because the actual girl singing wasn't deemed "pretty" enough to represent her country.....glad I am missing it except on CNN.

I just saw that on CNN, I think it was wrong to do that. The little girl whose voice was used should have been the one singing at opening ceremonies.

I think what they did to those girls' is terrible too. They said both girls are proud & happy now, but what about the future? The one who lip sinced (sp) will be so upset when she really knows the truth & the one who's voice was used will likely come to think she is ugly. Though she may always put on a good front, deep down she will feel bad (like 'I can't get a boyfriend cuz I'm ugly'.) They talked to some ppl on the news..a Chinese lady said 'the west is making too much of this & that their government & all, will be proud'. Is that what the olympics is?.......to make your country LOOK good. The story was taken off the net in China cuz so many were upset with them.

LOL and I posted the pic on the insights thread...but there proudly and blissfully ignorant sits our president holding the US flag up.......backwards. But the Look on his daughters face who is sitting beside him is priceless!

I feel horrible for the little girl. Sheesh.
