lol you know me too well ZS!

My favorite movies are historic/epic movies. Can't get enough of them.

It's too easy to figure out the story line in most new movies.

Most movies we watch have profanity. It doesn't bother me, unless it's there for shock value alone. Nudity is too often crass and it ruins the story line.

But then again, I like Lucky Louie on HBO Crude but hysterical.

The Village was a good mystery, even though I figured out the ending.

What was that old movie with Deniro and Sean Penn? We're no Angels or something like that. That was hysterical. I catch good old ones on Dish sometimes and DVR them.

I'm like you Bobbi. It's pure misery to go to a theater. My son saw the new one by Al Gore on global warming. I *thought* about going, but too uncomfortable. It will be on DVD soon enough.

Yeah, I heard "Baggar Vance" really sucked - don't plan to watch it.

The last recent movie I saw was "North Country." It was a good movie. I like Frances McDormand, and I really liked the character she played in that movie. I could so relate to the scene where she didn't want the man to help her walk. I still have my pride too, and it makes me feel weak sometimes when my husband has to help me along.

I tend to go more for independent films. Seems like the mainstream movies focus more on visual effects - or remaking old films and storylines. I prefer a more creative story, where I can't predict what's going to happen next.

I watched a surprisingly good movie the other day..."Crooklyn." It's an older Spike Lee film about kids growing up in the 70s. It was funny, but the story was also very touching.

clouds, do you rent or buy movies?

ok...so i am going to admit to buying jakob the liar in vhs. i have never been able to get through the whole thing. maybe i'll try again.

we buy movies for the most part. rarely rent. some good bargains on the previously viewed ones.

what type of movies do you like? i can reccomend some.

the manchurian canditate with denzel washington.
hide and seek with robert deniro. kinda scary...predicatable ending
joshua with tony goldwyn and f. murray abraham. i love this movie. it's based on one of my favorie book sewries by joseph girzone.

oh...i really do have a worst of all time movie. at grandmonkeys request...we took him to see nacho libra with jack black. little stinker made us sit inthe front row! thank goodness it was at the dollar movies. torchure...pure torchure
