oh, Barb !!

my heart goes out to you, dealing with this difficult situation.

my brother came home from Iraq (First Gulf War) like that.

it took *years* to "de-program" him.

but all the hard work paid off, and he now leads a veterans group against war... still struggling with some health issues, but his mind is clear.

I think your referrals were a good idea, this young gentleman sounds like he needs some help, some time off, and some serious counselling.

that's what my brother's group does, helps vets.

PM me for info, and website, you can't TEACH if you're fearing for the students' setting off this guy !!

Barb - No offense taken and that is not what I got out of your post. I understand your concern and will pray that all can be resolved. You as well as the other instructors this student has are all in a difficult situation.

Frank - Of course there are room for more prayers. I will keep you, your mom, and all of your family in my prayers.

Debbie - I do a bit of medical transcription from home. For me it has worked out well. Although, I wish I could take on more but I just can't sit for that long.:o:(

Blues Girl - Welcome back!! Glad to see you post.

Prayers for your Mom, Frank. And you, too.

Barb, I didn't get offended by your post - I'd be surprised if anyone here did. You have a legitimate concern.

Debbie, I'm so sorry to hear about your FIL's cousin.

Night ya'll! :winky:

While I am certain that the vet needs some counseling, I am not sure security needed be notified, has he actually threatened anyone or written something threatening? Ok obviously the dwelling on death isn't healthy or normal and the guy definitely needs some help but will constant scrutiny to someone already emotionally on the edge by I am assumed armed security personnel going to help him or push him even closer. I was not there so cannot feel your feelings but I know his feelings firsthand from a father who suffered horribly from PTSD after 4 tours in Vietnam and think something like a security investigation of him might be pushing him a bit far after all since he is on meds I assume he is active in getting treatment for his issues?

Either way, you should not feel threatened either as I said I wasn't there.

Good news!!!!!!!!!! I got a for sure job offer working for a super sweet doctor, and the hospital was very interested in giving me back my old job and are preparing a salary offer for Monday. Leaning towrds the doctor, the hours are better and the stress is less.....and they both know about my MS and said it was fine with them!

FinLady 09-04-2008 08:40 PM

Congrats, Renee!!!!!!!!!! Too cool. :)

weegot5kiz 09-04-2008 09:53 PM

thats good news on the job, I think I would go with docs office, especially if what they are doing to these nurses in the hospital is what they might be doing there, cut number of nurses and gave them more paitents, they are always going in too many directions, congrats again

Blues Girl 09-05-2008 12:25 AM

Frank, I will be keeping you and your mom in my prayers.

Trish, Thank you for the welcome back!:)

Jenn, Hope your sx are better tomorrow. I know the bad days can be frustrating.

Von, An "A"!!! Congratulations!!!

Renee, I'm happy for you! Congratulations!! That is good news!

It's been a lazy day. Raining and gloomy. I've slept most of the day, and now I'm ready to go to bed for the night.

Hope everyone has a good day tomorrow.:)
