Hey all, just sitting here waiting to call the doctor.

Renee, good luck today!

Kitty, stay safe and cool. Will the hurricane affect you this week?

Weave, My heart aches for you.

Kay, looking at your pics reminds me when we went to the Virgin islands. The pics look so peaceful.

mornin' San !!

as you can see, the beaches are really THIN here, that's due to the huge barrier reef out in the Caribbean (largest in the Western Hemisphere!)

so, there's no wave action to bring in sand, and the mangroves and sea grass are needed for hurricane protection, so (by law) they must be left intact... that's why they don't bring in sand and extend the beaches... to protect against storm surge.

and that's REALLY why there's so few tourists, and it's so peaceful.

most everyone that visits is off scuba diving the reef, or snorkeling, Belize has some of the best reefs in the world.

and those that come inland are archeology types and jungle explorers, and eco-tourist folks.

so Belize remains mostly unspoiled paradise.

did you know Belize has set aside more than 40% of its land as preserves and parks ?!?

Just taking a break from my running around. Trying not to :thud: over do it. I've got a lot of energy right now, so want to go full throttle, but need to remember to take it easy.

I have to brag, ya'll.....I went grocery shopping for the month this morning and did so good!!! I had $53.09 in mfg coupon savings (they double up to .50) and $44.91 in Kroger Plus card and Kroger store coupon savings!! That's a total of $98.00!!! I stopped at the Kroger gas station and filled up with $47 in gas so I figure I got the gas free and had $6.09 left over!! Yea me!! :p

I had several "free" item coupons and found some super deals once I got there. Yesterday's paper had lots of good coupons in it and most of them worked well with the store specials. I just love saving money and now that I don't have a choice it's even more satisfying when I do good! My boys call me "coupon queen" because I am so frugal when it comes to shopping! I cannot stand paying full price for anything.

So....$280.25 for a month of groceries (for 3 people) isn't too bad! I have to go back for milk and bread throughout the month but I send the boys after that stuff 'cause they won't linger in the store and buy extra stuff. :o I can't be trusted just to go in and get one or two things!

Still waiting for the final answer on Jim and the hospital. I updated on the other thread. I feel like we are in limbo now.

I know what you mean! I spend alot of time organizing my coupons but when I have a day like today it makes it worth it! Plus, it's not like I have that much other stuff to do....:o

My DH used to laugh when I'd get so excited about how much money I saved. Now, my poor boys get to listen to me!! :p
