Hi Everyone,

My pacemaker check went fine.:) My heart is keeping above 60 beats per minute 94% of the time. So the pacemaker is only kicking in 6%. Good news on that appointment.:)

My new Cardio doctor preformed the implant 6 months ago and I've been in his office several times but dealt with the nurse and the pacemaker tech, so I have never seen him. I was all covered up when he came in and did the procedure. I had heard from some of the nurses that he was really good looking and they really liked him.

Well, today I saw him for the first time and WOW, he is a HUNK!!!!!:p:p:p I mean this is one good looking doctor!!!!!!;);) He walked in the room and said his nurse told him that I had never seen him and asked me how he looked. I told him he looked just fine! LOL I'm probably old enough to be his mother but man oh man, he is cute!!!!

My Neuro called this morning and my blood work came back fine for everything related to my kidneys. She said my rhematiod arthritis test showed a high positive. I was a bit shocked by that! She is forwarding it to my PCP to see about sending me to a rheumatologist! I think it's a false positive and am not going to worry about it.:)

I just want to add one thing to you all with children either young or old. I have a 38 year old son that I raised by myself. His father and I divorced when he was 2 years old and I was the sole support financially and everything else.

I have one bit of advice, go with your gut feelings about what is going on with your child. Don't think for one minute that they are perfect. Tough love and strict rules are a must. It is so hard to do but do it for your sake and your child's sake.

I have been there and I can tell you it is the hardest thing I have ever had to do in my life. It makes my MS seem like a walk in the park. I did not do it when he was a child and gave him too much freedom which was the opposite of the way I was raised. He never gave me a problem and never got into trouble. He was the best child in the world in my eyes.

I have been through the mill with my son, not as a teen but as an adult, believing that he would never do anything wrong or get into trouble since he was such a good child and teen.

My story is very long and messy but sometimes parents have to let go of their children until they grow up on their own. I am guilty of being an enabler and have suffered so much pain from knowing that I contributed to his problems.

I haven't seen him in a year now and don't know what the future holds. I have to stand firm on my decision to let him go and hope that he will get his life together and come home! I can't even begin to tell you how much I miss him and pray for him to be alright.

I am not singling anyone out so please don't think I am. I am not trying to be a know it all either. I just know that after what I have been through the pattern has to change or the child will never mature and be self sufficient.

He is so cute that it doesn't matter if he is a good doctor. LOL:p:p:p

He doesn't check the pacemaker, he just implants it. The Medtronics tech checks it first and he isn't bad looking either. LOL:D I saw 2 really good looking men today and I was just smiling my head off. LOL:D I wish all doctor visits could be as good as this one.:D

Frank, that poem rings so true. I have one son, a junior in college now. I love the man that he's become and miss the baby boy he once was. Our children grow up way too fast.

Kelly, glad to hear you had a good night's sleep. My kitty loves boxes too. I've bought several kitty beds for her that she has never used even once. Give her an empty cardboard box and it's her new hideout and bed.

Trish, congratulations on DD's GED!!:)

Becky, I hope your pacemaker is A-okay, and have a good visit with your dad.

Fin, I'm a member of the "but you look so good" camp too. It's frustrating to say the least. Take care and feel better soon.

Von, hope you're feeling better this afternoon.

Sandy and Jim, have a fun weekend!:)

Barb, great news about your mom!!:D I bet she's so excited and relieved to have all of her creature comforts back!

I'm feeling a little better today! Still really tired, but better! Still going to see my neuro on Tuesday though. I always have fatigue, but this feels different. One night I went to bed at 9pm and didn't wake up at all until 3pm the next day. Just have to wait and see what my doc thinks about it.

I'm ready for Sunday's football games. I'm in a pickem game with the guys at DH's work. I'm tied with one other guy for first place so far. DH said all the guy's were asking "who's Tara?" LOL I'm kickin' their behinds!!:D

Hugs to everyone!:grouphug:

Frank,

It is really hard to take and shakes you to the core. I know a lot of people are having problems especially in these days. I am praying for you and Deb also.

Hugs,
