Politics Obama/Biden Ticket

I watched the Democratic convention on CSPAN.

I am SO enthusiastic about Obama. He is so smart, a Harvard lawyer that specialized in Constitutional law.

He runs such a good campaign which is so indicative of how he will form his cabinet. He surrounds himself with retired generals, past cabinet members, he seems to understand how to make Washington work.

I agree with his stand on:

economy
universal health care
affordable drugs
Iraq
Middle East
Europe
social security
supreme court
women's issues

I do not agree with McCain/Palin at all.

I will not disparage. NT rules make it clear that a positive message is acceptable and I will say again, Obama/Biden have my vote.

I know, who moi. And my thread was a bit repetitive. I knew that too. I just wanted to jump in with a Democrat thread.

Plus I no longer stink...

oh yeah, I forgot these issues:

benefits for veterans
education
Iraq war timetable
I also want a pull out of Afghanistan
tax cuts for the middle class

my DD is getting a teaching degree. I am all in favor of her getting paid for working in the trenches known as public schools.

I am also in favor of Thanksgiving.

I am against:

privatization of social security
privatization of medical services
the Iraq War
permanent tax cuts that are currently in place

Who wouldn't be in favor of Thanksgiving? Stuffing is the best!!!
As a die-hard liberal Democrat (another mom actually called me that, she was a real republican) you know who I'm voting for.

My stuffing looks gross but it tastes good.

I am a die-hard liberal Democrat too and having been born in AZ, that makes me the TRUE MAVERICK.

I know maverick and McCain is no maverick. After all, it takes one to know one.

But back on topic, I loved what Obama outlined in his acceptance speech. He spoke to the issues and the issues speak to me.

Hey,
I will keep my political opinions to myself but had to chime in on the solar issue. I had a solar electric company out to my house last month, it's very expensive but worth it. I would do it in a second if I had the swiss bank account to fund it.

For my 1600 square foot house it would cost $27,000, of which I get APS (the power company) to pay 15K for, so I would be out of pocket about 10K (the government gives a 2K rebate, and the state gives a 1K rebate.

Many more should do it if it were more reasonable.
