Just resting up right now. Still a little run down. No fever. (checked after my last moment. ). Just blah still.

But did stock up on a bookstore run. Next book for Christopher Paolini's Inheritance series came out today. LOL, hubby's next to me reading it.

Kay, the facts of farming don't bother me too much. Grew up near cow country. Nothing like having a friends mother ask you to look for a small package labeled "bessy" in the freezer. (yes, true story) My brother was also a member of 4H, so learned a lot about it through him as well.

yes, it takes a while... been two years, and it's still kinda hard...

mi esposo is very considerate of my tender feelings.

I set up the chairs, and start the pot of water heating, and stuff, and he brings in the chicken, already 'done' dips it in hot water to loosen the feathers, and we sit and chat while we pluck, or listen to music.

then, I do the fine work (pin feathers) and make it pretty, like it looks in the store, while he goes and fetches the next bird.

and he does the "dressing" and I do the packing, leaving the bits I like for soup-making (like giblets and necks).

so I don't have to deal with the difficult parts, bless his heart.

It didn't bother me.....btw, where is it??? I know I saw a pic before....maybe it was in another thread? We're all a little "off key" here, Frank.....with defects, too!! Good thing we aren't ducks, huh?!

I deleted it, kind of worried it might of hurt Kays feelings, like i said i had assumed it would be a din din, and then she said how she will miss curly, so after I took my foot out of my mouth I deleted it

hey, today's a REALLY big day around here!

we sold a dozen chickens today, and four ducks for fancy family dinners.

yep - I'm feeling a bit peachy today ... started out a bit oozy, but had some toast.... which kept me going until an hour ago, then had some tater tots and shrimp ... feel pretty good anyways! whew!

had a most beautiful sunset last night - orange and pink ... which made today most beaut-i-mous!

I feel a bit bad - today is the last day that the local quilt shop will be open ... so I stopped in for some supplies (50% off) ... a friend gave me her old digital camera ... I need to get a memory card (kodak camera) ... then I can start getting my album loaded for you all to see!

Kay - my friends own and operate a dairy farm ... I've had hamburger all the time ... from when they had to put down a cow ... the baby calves and bulls were sold to a local farm ..

Hi everyone! I can't believe it is startover time already...

Vonn - this morning David asked how I was and my reply was "I am peachy".... to funny!

well, tonight I am very sore - we went to David's moms house today and loaded the back of the truck with firewood and cut some more to dry over there that we will get next time. My right arm is in quite a bit of pain.... my legs are not that bad though so that is good.

I know tomorrow I will regret helping but I felt that I should since it will keep me warm also!

Kelly hope you are feeling better! Sounds like you had a busy day.
