Char, no. It's a fantasy story. Eragon was the first one in the series. Kind of about a boy and his dragon. I just can't spell the title of this one for the life of me.

Vonn, not a big baseball fan, so didn't notice the game. I do follow football though, and my team is usually the underdog. Can you tell I grew up in NY if I say I've liked the Bills forever? I think we hold the record for the most consecutive superbowls lost by any single team.

Kay, that must be neat with all the celebrations going on. Glad you had a good sale day.

Frank, no worries here.

My son (15) will be going deer hunting next month for the first time and I am still having a hard time wrapping my mind around it.

Now don't get me wrong, my dad was a hunter as is my husband and yes I do eat the venison. But something about my son shooting a deer is hitting me strange. All the men in the family hunt and are all outdoorsmen so it is no surprise that he wants to hunt also.

He is really excited about going and I think most of this is me not wanting him to grow up just yet. I try to think about how proud his Grandpa would be to see him doing this. My dad was an amazing hunter and my hubby went with him every year till he passed.

Anyway, talk of killing animals for food made me want to share what I have been thinking about lately...Sue

hello Sue, He is probably very excited, being able to be in, what i could understand him as seeing a special group, I can understand his excitement, do you think the actual hunt and kill will sit with him? or turn his stomach, so to say.

I know this would trouble me with my one son, the idea of it is ok but I am sure it would not sit well with him, when it came time to doing what needed be done. Prayers for ya, so you dont go bonkers with worry I dont know what to say, I can understand your feelings, guess as long as he respects the rifle, enjoys it, and gives him and dad time together, he at a good age to still want to be with dad, which is good, good luck mom dont worry too much

Fin is it this one Inheritance Cycle? or Brisingr

Hi Sue, Good to see you here!

Kelly, Hope you are feeling better this evening. I am addicted to the weather channel. Right now it is thundering, and we have had some heavy rain. I think it is supposed to be in the low 80s most of this week. We all still waiting for Fall weather here.

Frank, I thought the picture was funny.

Kay, I love reading about the traditions and way of life in Belize.

Char, Hope you did not overdo it today. Take it easy tomorrow.

Vonn, Glad you had a decent day. Have you gone to the doctor's about your tummy issues? You might try prilosec. You should take it in the morning about an 1/2 before you eat anything.

I have been taking it easy today. I did a little laundry, read, and stared at my ceiling fan. I just finished watching Ms. Potter from NetFlix. It was okay. The next movie in my queue is Sex in The City. I missed it at the theater. I think it is supposed to be released next week. You would love them Frank! More chick flicks!

Heya Frank! Thanks for starting the thread again!!

Hi Char! I hope you didn't overdue yourself.

Kelly, feel better soon! I'm glad you got yourself to the doctor yesterday!

Kay, the celebrations must have been way fun! Glad you had a good day with sales!

Jenn, my game is football too. My team has been the underdog for too long..... the St. Louis Rams. Since they won the SB in 2000, they just haven't been able to get it together. I love 'em anyway!

Trish, you had asked me how it feels to be the mystery woman at DH's work. It feels great! I'm the only woman playing the pickem game....and tied for first. DH said they're razzing him about it........funny!

I'm feeling better again today. I actually felt well enough to get out of the house. My mom had some things to do today, so I tagged along. It felt good to be out of the house. I bought a pretty fall wreath for my front door and a really cool centerpiece for my kitchen table. Had a good time, but I am so pooped now.

Hugs to everyone!

Hi Frank and thanks for replying about the hunting. I really don't know how he will handle the actual process. He is more of a man than I want to admit ya know, he is my youngest.

I feel for ya on the hand pain. I use plastic cups most of the time because the glass ones are too heavy plus I have dropped a few in my day. For my coffee I wrap my fingers around it with the fingers in the handle so if I lose my grip it doesn't fall all the way.

A good cup of coffee sounds real good right now. Daughter is working at Starbucks so she brings home the good stuff all the time...Sue
