There is something to be said about listening to the majority though. When enough people are presenting me with facts, not feelings, I have a tendency to listen. |

((Snoozie)) I think that's happening on both sides. I've seen lots of smearing from day 1 for all the candidates. Every election I hope for decent campaigning and every election get disappointed! I have yet to see a politician truly not use smear campaigning. grrr
Whenever I've used political 'stickers', I just tape them on the inside of my car, LOL. I've even made my own, put them in plastic sheets and tape away. But then I live in a community where vandalism isn't as high as other communities. ![]() Although I think I may be less obvious about it this time. It's become extremely clear to me that one cannot change another's mind about who to vote for. I can't even read most of the political posts because I get infuriated. I want to see these guys together on stage in a public arena with a moderator! And often! I'm tired of the soundbites here and there. (((Snooz)))

Unfortunately - you'll find angry, bully-ish and uneducated (save for sound bites) fools on either side. Whether they happen to be firmly planted on the far right or the far left, they dishonor ALL of us and demean our political process.
More unfortunately still is how very smart and very cynical politicians and advisors use that very fact to their respective advantages... in fact, moreso this year than any other I can remember. This is for everyone on both sides: Question the messages, question your party, question yourself. Don't ignore the lessons of the past (and review them if necessary) but we need to educate ourselves now. We need to get our information from a myriad of sources, even those we typically disagree with. Don't make your decisions this year based on party lines, paradigms, election ads or irresponsible extremists on talk radio. We have to do our homework this time. If we don't, we'll have only ourselves to blame. |

WE all really need to sift through all the baloney
![]() All I can suggest is try not to take the news articles or attack ads personally it's not worth it. These politicians knew what they were stepping into when they signed on for the races - their whole life is an open book and yes there will be negative spin and counter spin... ![]() But as voters & citizens of the good old USA - we should try to keep from letting these campaigns, ads, baloney and the accompanying political frenzy stress us out. ![]() ![]()
