Hey everyone! Another beautiful day in IL.

Election day~ wow! We voted early, so don't have to worry about that today. Also, got invited to an election night rally, but I'm sick and DH has to get up at 4am tomorrow, so we will armchair it tonight. It would have been neat to see all the excitement. Mind you, this is nothing like a big city rally, but guess they are expecting a very large crowd. *minus DM*

Franko~ Everyone loves you and Deb. Why? B/C you are amazing down to earth people. NT would not be the same w/o you guys and we embraced you, b/c you embraced us. :grouphug: Your day out yest sounds wonderful.

Everyone here is so warm and kind. :grouphug: I also don't always mention names, but I read your daily activities and try to keep up as best I can.

DebbieD~ you made me cry! But, in a good way, as your DD reminds me of mine. She lights up the room and when she smiles, she wrinkles up her nose and all is right w/the world. I miss her like crazy, as she's in NC. :Sob:

Have a good day everyone and Sox??? Your post made me tired; you are one busy Mom.
Sandy~ You'll look for any excuse to smooch Jim. Give him a hug for me.
WH~

Hey AMN, Vonn, Kay, Barb, Fin, Sarah, GG, Joellelee & EVERYONE else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

take care everyone~~~~

PS: I have a cold sore... wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

good morning everyone ..

well its that time of year ... you know the scene ... we get up ... grab a cup of coffee .... drive to the voting station ... drive around and around and around trying to find a parking spot ... you have handicap parking sticker ... however there is only 3 handicap parking spots and they are full so you continue to drive around trying to find a spot that is at least within this zip code .... ok ... you've parked ... and have walked the 2.3 miles it took to get to the actual building .... that took 3 hours cause that 2.3 miles is the line of people waiting to vote also ... you meet lots of people while waiting ... that one over there ... shhhh don't tell .... he's stoned .... and that one .... she's in a cranky mood ... bit my head off for saying hi to her ... and over there .... he's PO'ed cause he actually has to stand in line ... some big shot of something or other ... oh and look there .... he goes to our church ... and there's someone from our local grocery store ... oh and theres so and so ... can't quite remember her name but it is good to see her out and about ... and there's the family that just moved in next door .... then its your turn ... you step into the booth, close the curtain, and .......... there ... all done ... your have voted .... you have received your sticker stating "i voted" and you wander out ... the line is still 2.3 miles long .... there is still a crabby person over there and a stoned person back there ... there is another person from your church, another person from the local grocery store, and yet another from your neighborhood ... you smile and nod ... as you walk back to your car

ok busy busy busy again went to store then to auto part store got brakes gonna do debs backs and fronts today and then tomorrow rotate my tires and do my fronts, got to take advantage of this awesome weather

now this voting thing is that tomorrow:rolleyes::rolleyes::eek:

I did my civic duty,I even got to use the electronic thingy, only problem was getting to it, which i pointed out after wards, accessibility is a must, so they move things around, and when i was done they go to moving it back so you cant get through again,so I pointed out I probably am not the only one with a cane or chair that may vote today so they fixed it b4 i left, all that vote today will be a part of history go out and vote and speak your mind through voting, as my dad use to say if you dont vote you can not complain the next four years

peace

I had to wait in line for about one minute before I voted. There were 4 precincts voting at my polling place. Now I need to get ready for class. It is hard to concentrate today. I am so excited. I have been invited to 2 different election night parties tonight. I may stay home on my sofa.

Princess,

Cold sores always warrant ice cream per the doctor's orders.

Have a big scoop on me!

Good morning everyone! Good to see everyone and those who lurk popping in to say hi.

I received two calls this morning. Both from the political process. ARGH! Is it over yet?

I am going to be in the basement today cleaning again. No Deb, I never went there yesterday. I decided to take the day off. If I don't get down there today I will clean all the junk mail off my kitchen table. I am so exciting!

Last night we got to talk to Becky and we had a blast. We even teased back and forth about the election trying to convince each other who's the best person to be elected. LOL Ummm, if we were smart we'd know we already voted. Jim got on the phone with her acting like he was "Pedro" and teased with her. He owed her after teasingly dissing her about her choice. I threw the phone to him and said "Your on your own buster!" lmao Love ya Becky/BFF!

So, who's taking bets how many kisses Jim will get tonight if it goes the way we want? lol

At one point there was a question about an item staying or going to a new address. I said I though DH was going to put it in his basement apartment. DH then says he doesn't know if he is moving or not and then he looks at me and asks what he is doing. I. Was. Floored.:eek::eek:

When I finally got my wits about me enough to speak I angrily said "we aren't even going there".:mad::mad: Two or three times a week for the past I don't know how many months DH has told me one way or another that he wants out.

After the help left it took me a good hour to get my knickers untwisted. :o Am I just too sensitive or was my meltdown a reasonable reaction? I've been thinking for a few weeks now that DH doesn't know what the hockey sticks he wants. Why else would he still have half his carp in what he says is my apartment? If he spent half as much time moving out as he does tinkering with stuff that doesn't need done now and being places he doesn't need to be he'd have been moved out and settled in months ago. There's the door buster! Don't let it hit ya where the good Lord split ya!:D

Okay. Rant over.

Sounds to me like he's having reservations about moving....or leaving you. He's stalling. But....I don't think that was the time or place to put you on the spot like that....not in front of friends. I'd have been irritated, too.

Morning all. :)

So, the big day is finally here. I'll be so glad when it's over. This has worn me out, lol. I'm glad I voted early. I'm at the office, it's sort of busy today. Tomorrow I have off, sleep late, go for my flu and tetanus shot, also go to the bank, and drop winter clothes off at Salvation Army.

DH and I are having a bottle of champagne tonight to celebrate. I might need a nap after work though!

Our sons were home Sunday night for dinner, steak on the grill, twice baked potatoes and salad. I send a lot home with them. I have one last potato in my lunch today. :Starvin: I make them with Smart Balance, cheddar cheese, light sour cream, a little skim milk, a clove of garlic and salt. YUMMY!!

The weather is nice again today, supposed to be tomorrow too. This year I'll need to rake the leaves from our red maple in the front yard. It's about 18-20 feet tall now and they're starting to drop. I like raking when it's cool and dry.

I'm taking the Provigil five days a week now, and seem to be getting more accomplished. I don't have to fight to stay awake at work, so that's a plus.

Have a good day everyone, and don't forget to vote! :) :grouphug:

Hugs and prayers to each of you!!!
