Get Out And Vote All the ads, door-knocking, polling, speeches, and rallies culminate tomorrow as Americans head to the polls to vote in one of the nation's most historic elections. With 90 percent of the electorate holding the opinion that the country is seriously off track, voters are engaging in the political process as never before. Approximately 153.1 million Americans are now registered to vote (a record 73.5 percent of citizens 18 or older), record numbers are turning out to take advantage of the early voting systems in more than 30 states, and election officials are expecting record turnout overall. http://pr.thinkprogress.org/2008/11/pr20081103 :grouphug: |

Hi, everybody! :Wave-Hello:

Briefly leaving lurkdom for your opinion please... Yesterday our pastor/counselor and his wife were here to help us get rid of some stuff. At one point there was a question about an item staying or going to a new address. I said I though DH was going to put it in his basement apartment. DH then says he doesn't know if he is moving or not and then he looks at me and asks what he is doing. I. Was. Floored.:eek::eek:
When I finally got my wits about me enough to speak I angrily said "we aren't even going there".:mad::mad: Two or three times a week for the past I don't know how many months DH has told me one way or another that he wants out. After the help left it took me a good hour to get my knickers untwisted. :o Am I just too sensitive or was my meltdown a reasonable reaction? I've been thinking for a few weeks now that DH doesn't know what the hockey sticks he wants. Why else would he still have half his carp in what he says is my apartment? If he spent half as much time moving out as he does tinkering with stuff that doesn't need done now and being places he doesn't need to be he'd have been moved out and settled in months ago. There's the door buster! Don't let it hit ya where the good Lord split ya!:D Okay. Rant over. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In other news I've done my civic duty so now it is back to lurk mode and housework. Hugs all around. I forgot about the kids being under foot for the next three days. Was hoping to do some research this week which will be harder now. Oh well. Hope to be back here in a week to week and a half. I have been keeping track of everyone. Behave yourselves till I get back. :D |
