Good Morning!! It's beautiful and sunny (and warm.....) here in GA. It's supposed to cool off this weekend, though. 'Bout time.
Frank, where do you get the energy to do all the things you do? Can I have some of it? :o I can do about one big thing each day...and by "big" I mean laundry or dust or change the linens....never all on the same day. I think the most difficult challenge I've faced with this is pacing myself and not overdoing it even if I feel like I could....'cause I know I'll pay for it dearly! Well, I was up and down all night flipping channels. It was evident pretty early who the winner was but I still watched because you just never know!! I have to decide what I'll do today. Laundry is already done so I think I'll make more by changing the bed linens!! That's a workout for me...trying to get a fitted sheet on a King sized mattress. I've got to go shopping at some point soon for the Senior Citizens we "adopted" for Christmas this year. The gifts have to be wrapped and delivered to the Senior Services office by December 9th. We've got three people....one lady and two men. Kevin and Matt will buy for each of the men and I will buy for the lady. We're excited about this and hope to continue this each year now. Hope everyone s doing well today! :grouphug: |
Hey All! Oh my goodness, I'll never be able to catch up on the posts and what you all have been up to. LOL I've been thinking about you all and hoping you all are doing well. I hope things slow down a bit for me as my body is screaming for me to stop. LOL I tried baclofen for the 1st time the other night and woke up hung over and stayed that way all day. I didn't like it much.
It has been a whirlwind of activity around here to say the least. Got my cards done, month end reports typed, DD18 ready to start school next week, etc. As for DD17, well, she is just 1 busy girl. I spent last week helping her study for the SATs. She took them on Saturday and we are in hopes that she did well. We signed her up to take them again in December just in case she doesn't like her score. Additionally, she has had football games to perform at, dance performance at school, a retreat with the youth group at church, lots of homework as well as a "date." This is the 1st time a boy has liked her back and she really didn't know what to do. They set up a group date and the jerk didn't show up. She was ok with it though as she got scared about having a boyfriend and him taking up too much of her time when she has all these other things to take care of. |
Morning all :)
Trying to get some more stuff done. I'm with Kelly - it seems like I can only get so much done in a day. Yesterday I voted and Grochery shopped, then I crashed. :thud: I heard that this was the highest voter turnout nationwide in a long time, partially due to the early voting. Here's hoping the coffee helps with the kickstart for the day. :grouphug: Have a great day all. |
greetings my little chickadees ... and dudes!
well - only had to get up once ... around 430 ... (you know, that letter in the alphabet!!) LOL ... and was able to sleep for 3 more hours ... finally cooling off outside ... I don't feel so frazzled anymore ... it may take some time, but the lawyer sounds confident to get my case moving and approved due to financial hardship that the dx has brought on .. hey DM - I saw that your movie is coming out .. or is out .. 'Tinkerbell' okay off I go ... 'tiptoe THRU the tulips ... ' la la la la la laaaa |
Mornin' all!!
Phew!! DH and I didn't get home from downtown Chicago until after 1am...we got into the park by 6:30 pm, and stood in a long line for pizza and soda, and then found a spot about 50 yards from the podium. Thank goodness there were 2 jumbotrons with CNN on...DH and I love to watch the returns come in! Anyway, my legs began bothering me about 1 hr. later, then back went into spasms. My DH was helping me by doing the Harpo Marx legshake...he'd hold onto one of my legs so I could stretch my hammies...then he'd hold onto me so I could do a toe stretch (if I could get enough space in the crowd to!). The young people in the crowd around us even started complaining about their stiff backs! It was great to share the joy with each other as our guy was declared the winner:D:D Shortly after the cheering died down, everyone became quiet...I think we were all taking in what had just occured... I did think of Dr. King, especially as he stood at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, saying, "I have a dream, that men will be judged not by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character." God bless America!!:yahoo: |
Debbie I looked for you on TV the whole night! I was combing the crowds!
Jim and I are going out to get some food. That's about it. Have a good day everyone and stay cool and healthy! |

That's a great grade in algebra.....not sure if I could have even gotten through the course much less made a B+. I'm not good at math....:o Isn't 97 considered to be an A+ for the Human Resources class?

Voter turnout best in generations, maybe a century By SETH BORENSTEIN – 9 hours ago WASHINGTON (AP) — America voted in record numbers, standing in lines that snaked around blocks and in some places in pouring rain. Voters who queued up Tuesday and the millions who balloted early propelled 2008 to what one expert said was the highest turnout in a century. http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5i...bT8JQD948LJRG0 |
