I heard on the news that there were deadly tornadoes very near where my brother lives in North Carolina. Hope they are okay. No news is good news, I guess.

We're having rain, but should turn to snow tomorrow. Right now it's almost 65 degrees! Where am I???

here kitty...well to be honest...we should collect a few weeks worth then pay some bills....we owe quite a bit from last two trips to florida to see the inlaws....money money..never have enough...and we both work full time...that is why it is hard for me to cut back on hours..uggggg

but will be nice to not spend on smokes...

Sounds like everyone is getting used to the idea of late fall/early winter weather headed this way
I'd like the mid 50s we had off and on these last couple of weeks...

Well, we got the call last night...my daughter's boyfriend asked for her hand in marriage!!!! Now the difficult part starts...trying to give my DD a nice wedding celebration while dealing with her cheap father!!
We've already had 2 heated discussions between the two of us (my DH and I, that is), and it wasn't even 24 hours after she got engaged!! I keep trying to encourage her to elope, but she wants the wedding, reception, etc...

Well, my DH and I were out galavanting around today, and I got severe (not a strong enough word) spasms in my left leg/foot. He couldn't believe it (I usually don't get them this bad until he's asleep at night, or when he's at work, so he doesn't see this).
Anyway, my pcp gave me a script for low-dose baclofen several days ago, and I hadn't filled it; my DH insisted I fill the script after that...I took a 1/2 dose, and my legs are so relaxed...no babies moving at all! No tightness!! No spasms!! It's so great!!! I love baclofen!!!! Thank you, God, for baclofen!!! (am I overdoing it?!)

I hope that all of you having issues today find a better day tomorrow...reallyhug:

hey Deb while you thank God for baclophen...I am thanking him for my dose of prednisone taper I am doing..hehehee

and I was always one for taking no meds..I never hardly would take tylenol for things....hehehe woohooo for meds now...neurontin and now some pred..wow weight gain I see in future lol...

naaaaa....watching what I eat, as I know the meds can get me a good appetite....I want to lose a bit...but mainly strengthen up my body as I said earlier...

hugsss and goodnt all..gotta get these two rugrats to bed, not used to doing this...wow thank God for my oldest two kids too..cause most nights they do the teeth brushing and diapers and bedtimes..fo the youngest...I am spoiled..as I need to be...as I am usually sleeping by now...hugsss,sarah

I went out and did about 3/4 of my Christmas shopping today, it is freeeeeezing and we have had snow flurries and some sleet. BRRRRR so not ready for this.......if only Olivia generated more body heat......I may have to get a big dog LOL!

Hi everyone!

My brother picked up my 4yr old nephew late this afternoon. He stayed with us all last week while my brother was working in Canada. I miss him already. He's like a little adult.....some of the things he comes up with......he understands adult humor.......he understands and knows how to reason........just blows my mind. He's my little cuddle bug. I'll have to wait until Thanksgiving to see him again. It was fun having him for a whole week!

We got to see Obama at the rally here in Springfield the weekend before election day!! It was a long day waiting/standing in line for the gates to open at 6pm. We got in line around noon and didn't get home until after 11pm. It was held at JFK Stadium (highschool stadium) and the turnout was an estimated 45,000 people. It was an awesome experience.

Just reading through all of your posts and trying to get caught up.......

Good morning, all...boy, am I up early. Legs doing their thing this morning, spasming so hard that my calf looked like the figure of a Barbie doll...lol...ouch!

Sarah, hope the pred is helping...the weight gain is so awful for me when I do pred...I gained 10 lbs in one week. My body loves to hold onto it, too. Good luck, sweetie...

Tara, I'm glad you experienced an Obamanation...the vibes at one of his speeches is great, don't you agree? Hope he can turn his speeches into some real change...like getting Congress to stop pork in bills passed...

I first went to an Obama speech when he ran for Illinois Senate seat in '04...we were all listening closely to every word.

I was blessed to be able to attend his rally at Grant Park this election day. It was so cool to see so many young people...everyone was so elated!!

It was so awesome to see everyone so interested in the election this year.

Ooooo-weeee it's cold here this morning!! Or as my Dad would say.....boy-howdee!! I love it.....it could stay this way year round if it wanted to. I think it's about 31 degrees right now.

The oak trees around my house are the most gorgeous shade of red, orange and yellow. If it's not too windy out today I may try and rake some leaves. Don't know for how long but I've got to at least try.

I have also got to go buy a printer cartridge so I can print again!! Mine's been out for weeks. I think I could have bought a new printer by now for what I've spent on ink cartridges. Anybody know how to get around that??

Don't have a bunch going on today. Gotta get to the grocery for a few things....and to PetSmart for cat food. Wait...I have to go to PetSmart on a weekday otherwise there will be adoptions there today and I'll end up crying!!

If you solve the printer puzzle, Kelly, you will be a very rich woman. My printer, which I love, cost me about a hundred bucks. I'll bet I've put five or six hundred into ink since I've had it.

I like to get ink when it's on sale and be a couple ahead, because we live FAAAAARRRRR away from an office supply store. But I'm always afraid I'll end up with $100 worth of ink that fits only a printer that is no longer manufactured.

hey Kelly ... I'll be home all day ... other than unloading the car this afternoon ... I have both "girls" home now (Roxanne & Kathleen ... both tall and slender ... mannequins!) ... I'm so excited to get them set up ...

when I get the website together - they will be the poster gals for the tote bags, etc ... what fun!!

DM - I took a 5mg last night, but it barely takes the edge off .. so I took another one around 1230 ... maybe if I take them at the same time, it will help me sleep ... I did dream about "Ty" from Extreme Home Makeover ... and he's saving his saw blades for me to paint to sell and raise money for the comfort quilt program!!

Sarah ... I went up to get a load out of storage (Pound) .. then over to Crivitz to see the gals at my favorite quilt shop ... then west over to Mountain for the Legion's gunless poultry shoot (raffle) ... I won 2 NY Strip Steaks - going to have one for lunch today!

plenty of breaks ... and slept long enough!!
