morning all

BTY they tried doing that for me when i left and I was ah no thank you this isn't how i wanted to retire and I would probably cry so thanks but no, If I may ask why you worried what others think or know about your MS, they are going to know in two weeks anyway, Dont let the finality of the date dec 5th get the best of you, yeah it sucks you and I have talked a lot about this day, now its here, now you can work around your MS, and see and feel the difference without the job stress,

I know you are worried and maybe like I was, scared itless, I know I was, this is a decision you made before you ever asked me about this , you knew the answer, I knew my answer and just didn't want to admit it and pushed an extra 3 months and ended up retiring via the hospital. yeah you are gonna wake up on time for work for a while lol but ya get to roll over and give your body some extra needed sleep. Sorry if i am coming across as harsh, is not my intention. You are going through a strange period of life, retirement can be a hurdle to deal with as it is but like a lot of us here forced retirement really is that hurdle plus another, its not easy, but a number of us have successfully conquered it, I know you will do well.

ps? did they get the disability settled? you are getting your pension right? from my experience with postal loyalty they are not just kicking you out w/out the pension settled are they? yes folks i ask cause the usps can and tend to treat their employees as mules,Bty

morning every one been up a while. yall are burning daylight move it move it move it chop chop

i need coffee brb

peace

Kelli, sorry to hear about the new symptom. If it truly is a new one, don't forget to call your doc if it doesn't let up. Hope you feel better soon.

Oh, and my tiger kitty loves to knead before she lays down too.

B2Y, I also hope the transition goes smoothly for you.

Sarah, Enjoy the little ones.

Frank, good job on the display.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Morning all. Sitting here sipping my morning cup of joe. Actually woke up with hubby's alarm this morning, so must've had a decent night's sleep last night.
Got some things to do here and there. Crossing fingers that I can get some stuff done today. After the caffine kicks in of course, LOL.
to everyone.
now ice worked best for me, others heat helps, fluids, rest and darkness were my friends, if you wear glasses use em, do every little thing you can do, it wont help a lot, but they all add up and do help
As the saga continues... Nothing got said yesterday at DH's office about the temporary job opening. I don't need to worry about him putting my name in the hat as it is obvious he doesn't want me there. Since he doesn't understand why I think having DD work there is a recipe for more problems at home, he may still try to get her the job. Needless to say I am furious but trying to just chill and see how it plays out. If he does put her name in the hat I will explode all over him.
DS is home from school again today since he says he feels sick. I'm feeling a bit horn swoggled myself.
Things to do, plans to rearrange again, blah, blah, blah.
Have a good one!
DebbieD - I have been on Copaxone for 2 1/2 years now. I have not had any problems other than the typical injection site reactions - some good, some not so good. During my 1st year of diagnosis I had serial flares like crazy. MS want to make sure I knew it was there and there to stay. LOL. Now my 2nd year the flares started to decrease and I had no new lesions in a year. That was great news. So far this year (knock on wood) I have only had 2 flares and 1 possible flare. That is a record for me and I think it is due to the C.
B2Y - Oh, I wish I was closer to give you a big hug. It will be a bittersweet day. Similar to Frank, MS came on like a bad storm for me. MS decided it for me.
Kelly - I have had TN only twice. Since it is nerve pain I am not sure that the baclofen will work on it. If it does let us know so I can remember that for - I don't want to say the words. For me, I have found that any type of nerve pain responds well to some mild heat and then ice right after - 10 minutes of each. However, most of my nerve pain is in my ribs due to a lovely spinal lesion. The area is easier to ice.
I do hope that you start feeling better soon.
Sarah - Walks are great!!! The mornings have cooled down tremendously here so I have been able to start walking again. I take a 15 to 20 minute walk twice a day if I can. It feels so good!!!!
I understand if you need to spend more time with the kids as you can never get time back. Enjoy!
Kay - Yummy, Yummy, Yummy! You lunch sounds so good! I am glad you had a good day.
Frank & Deb - Absolutely beautiful! It was sweet of Frank to do that and I am glad you enjoyed it Deb.
Sandy - Wishing you luck helping your mom. I do hope it goes well. Additionally, still saying prayers for your brother.
Vonn - Got the Avon book and I tried ordering Patrick Dempsey online but couldn't find it. LOL. He is just adorable. He is one of DD17's favorite actors.
Hi to everyone else I may have missed [insert Frank's generic statement]. I hope you all have a great day.
Hi Kelly .. sorry about your pain .. the 'ice pick' pain ... that reminds me of shingles .. hurt hurt hurt .. hope you feel better soon!!
Tricia ... sorry - Patrick's 'scent' is in the book .. DD can cut out the picture if that will help!! (I know - he's quite a hotty)
B2Y ... sorry about the job ... I just got yelled at (email) from a friend asking me why do I want to work if I'm disabled?? I answered that I'm tired of just existing and surviving ... and finally a job I really like is available - and I would be over-doing it (right, Frank!) by working FT ... where's the balance??
Weave - it's going to be hard with DD working for him ... (this will be hard) ... but, continue to say nice things about him when talking to her ... my parents would play us kids against the other parent ... now I have a hard time believing (men mostly) because the only time my dad was ever really nice to me was when he wanted to get back with my mom ...
DebbieD .. I'm on the 'C' too (since April 2007) ... and like Tricia - only injection sites ... it was the steroid treatments in the beginning that I had weight gain and exhausted all the time ... (make sure to ask for the AutoJect2 to do the shots with)
Update::
lake is still frozen ... no snow ... school is going good ... la la la la la la la
sandy, debbied, vonn, dm, cindy, tara, barb, have a super day
MY UPDATE: Felt alot better yesterday so skipped the doc appt(It was
30 minutes away). they said I can call if it happens again. I think it
was an extreme muscle pull. feeling very good this morn.
So my project to day is to make homemade pierogis(test run for xmas eve).
My dear grandma, my parents and my db would make them every year.
We didnt make them last year for the first time. My grandma was sick
and passed away this past Jan.
So in her memory Im gonna wing it. The dough is in the fridge chillin
and my potato and cheese filling I just made. I just ate a little and
it really tastes good. It has mashed potato, farmers cheese, s&p, and
a little onions that were sauteed in butter. yummy.
Im a little tired but I hope to roll, fill, and boil them in an hour or so.
I sure hope grandma is watching.
Sox - Those sound yummy!!! I love those. I have never made them though. I hope they turn out great.
Now Vonnie, darling, we don't want the cologne we want the spokesperson for it. LOL DD17 did see the picture and grabbed the book. LOL What a goof ball. And no, I could never get it for DBF as every time he would wear it I'd be thinking of Patrick Dempsey and that would be just wrong. LOL
