Sandy, sorry to hear Jim's been having some off days lately. Hope the doc can help out.

Oh, and I had to laugh at your story about the UPS guy. I've had a pizza delivery guy flirt with me once, lol.

Yum...Frank, that sounds good. I haven't had Chinese food in so long. The only restaurant here that's any good is so darn expensive. I figure I can just about get a weeks worth of groceries for what I'd pay for one dinner there. I should try to learn how to make it myself!

I just made a big pot of beef stew. It smells so good.....gonna let it simmer for a while and thicken up. I hope Matt and Kevin will be home for dinner.....

boy while I am working all day you guys are filling too many pages here...hehehehe
still snowing lightly...

I dont work more than 40hours a week usually but seems like 70...I am trying to take it easy too...ugggggg

Heading to my moms for dinner...she has a box of things for me...clothes and some costume jewelry that was Madelines.

When they all were down..all sisters but me were there, and my bro inlaw asked my nieces go thru the jewelry and split it up for us sisters...then asked the sisters to with nieces go thru the clothes figuring out if any will fit anyone...I guess there is a good amount for me to try..as I am closest to her size when she was lighter few years ago...and I guess some is brand new dress clothes...(which I dont have any of..so that works) but going thru it will be sentimental....

I guess my nieces official real wedding is in Feb...the 28th...so we will be planning a trip then. I guess she asked my mom if she would take Madelines green dress..(that they helped Madeline wear for the weddling blessing) and asked if grandma would wear it...but she told me she just couldnt...I dont think I would have been able to either..not sure then what Lisa was doing with that dress..maybe just keep it for a keepsake...
Surely I will be in tears when I go thru the stuff...but good tears..I know she is with my baby Sabrina...and not in pain...

Hugss all, better get out of these fry smelling clothes...and think of other things than mickey ds

hugsss,sarah

Wow Frank, now I'm hungry for some of that too! Mmmm..mmmm Good!

Sarah,

I was so sentimental and teary-eyed when we went through my Mom's costume jewelry. I keep it in my jewelry box and like to take it out and look at it from time to time. I have a hard time wearing it though, even now two years later.

oh yeah !!

we have homemade Chinese food, and Thai food two or three times a week here in the jungle.

there are many Chinese immigrants in Belize, and they import all the odd little items one wants, like straw mushrooms, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, and they make tofu and grow bean sprouts, which we get at the Saturday outdoor market.

here's some nice and EASY Chinese dishes, have a blast, and let us know how it turns out!

Easy Chinese Recipes & Meals

By Rhonda Parkinson, About.com Guide to Chinese Food

What makes a recipe easy? Some, like stir-fries, take only minutes to make. Others, such as soups and stews, take longer but still consist of only a few simple steps, leaving you lots of free time while the food is simmering. Many Chinese recipes are quick, easy to make, or both. Some can be made with ingredients that are available at most local supermarkets, while others may require a trip to a Chinese/Asian market or using a substitute. Whether you're new to Chinese cooking or just looking for a recipe that doesn't require spending too much time in the kitchen, here are a number of recipe ideas.

I just got home from school a little while ago; I am freezing and my legs are unhappy. Finished grading my papers for now. I plan on staying huddled under my Christmas down throw on my sofa tonight.

Kelly -- current weather report -- temperature is 25 degrees and the wind chill is 10 degrees. Had ice all over my car when I left school today. So I may feel the need to smack you again.

Um, Sandy? Why did you answer the door in that little red lacy thing that you "called" pjs? Of course he wanted to come in for coffee after seeing you in that, you little hottie. LOL. That is cute and quite an ego booster when it happens. Sorry Jim is having some off days.

Kay - Thanks for the links. DD18 loves chinese food but I don't know how to make any other than quick stir fry and rice.

Kelly - I think those people up north would want to really smack the you know what out of me if I mention the weather here. LOL

Sarah - I don't blame your mom. I would not want to wear it either. That would be tough. Hang in there as I know going through the clothes will be rough on you. Check in here if you need some cheering up and/or support. We are here for you.

Fin & Barb - You both posted something I was going to respond to and I'll be danged if I can remember now. I scrolled down but the post isn't there. Sorry.

Boring day at my house. I spend a good 1 1/2 hours on the phone with a friend of mine. I called her for a simple question and we got carried away. Then I spent some time talking to DD18 about a zillion things; then a 1 hour nap as the phone woke me up; and now trying to figure out where the day went and how I accomplished NOTHING! Oh well, there is always tomorrow, right?
