I now will be starting abx #2, still have blurred vision, my stomach is just rejecting everything that goes in it, my head feels swollen, etc., etc. I am not complaining or whining; just making a point. Had I called sooner all of this could have been avoided.
I hope the abx helps, feel better soon, those sinus infections are miserable...

I know just what you mean Frank! At least it's December now, three more months and we'll see signs of springtime... Robins building early nests, colorful crocus' poking up through the leftover patches of snow, trees budding out.

Awww, you little rascals off and posting so much already! to all who are not feeling well. I have cleaning chores today, litterboxes, sweeping, etc. I need to tweak Jim's backup wheechair as well, adding his roho seat, etc.

I have a doctors appointment in the morning for my three month checkup as well. It's good to do it now than after the holidays. lol He wanted me to come in last Friday and I told him no way the day after Thanksgiving. He just laughed and said he was trying to help me.

We had a guy come out yesterday to get a quote on a lift for Jim and that man wants to excavate my garage and add a hole to drop a lift in to the basement. We're talking upper 20 thousand in cost! I do believe that man lost his mind. We have to get three quotes for the MS Society before they decide if they will give us a grant to help with the cost but we can choose who we want. That was good to hear because we just want a simple inclined platform lift on the stairs. We thought about an elevator but the cost is so high. We also applied for another grant through a company called Ramp Up. They help veterans with funds from the Illinois Veterans lotto.

I called them today and told them we just want simplicity and don't want to take funds that can go to other vets. I know they would give us more but they were grateful that we don't need the most expensive item so they can help others in need. The girl laughed when I told her about the guy yesterday. She laughed even harder when I said what if the lift gets stuck in between the garage and basement with Jim in it? She apologized for laughing and I said it's OK, we laughed too. Something tells me the guy yesterday just wants to make a buck and we've already been told by someone else they are a drop and run company. But I had to get three quotes, it's the rule. Funny how each person comes in and says they can do better and how wonderful they are. For the record, we are using a company that has done work with us before and we trust.

Ok, I have talked enough. I'll pass the mic to someone else now.

PS: Here's the lift we're thinking about getting for Jim on the stairs to the basement:

SPRING!!! What happy, warm thoughts for all of you in the cooler climates.

Growing up on the east coast, I used to love those signs of spring. I really do miss the change of seasons. It sounds weird but those season changes are still in me. Like every September, I'm wanting to get my sweaters out and wear my jeans and yearn for the cool, crisp air. Same goes for the rest of the seasons.

In the desert, the season go from he!! to hot to warm to hot to he!!. Although the nights can get cold (teens/20's) the days are rarely below 50.

I hope you feel better soon, Trish.

It was stuff like this that actually made me a little better about grabbing a doc when I need to, even when I loathe to do so. I've learned the various time limits to trying home remedy stuff. My gall bladder situation peaked when I was 19. I had over 6 months of severe symptoms and pepto bismal (which didn't help at all). That little stunt definitely taught me that sometimes it's good to get to a doc sooner rather than later, especially when the surgeon tells you all the nasty stuff that could've happened if one had waited any longer.

Still a little stubborn about it since I don't like docs, but know they are necessary sometimes.

no kolatchies today Frank. I made little shortbread bites. just tiny
enough to pop a few in your mouth....very addictive. the trick is getting
them in the freezer before anyone else comes home.lol
