no, I'm really not a doormat, just have MS in combination with a basically sunny disposition, I guess.

Yes, there's some cornbread left over but I don't know for how long!! There's no chili left so I guess I'll have to take Frank's suggestion and bring out the honey and butter.

We're supposed to have thunderstorms here today and then the bottom will drop out and it'll be cold....like in the low 30's!! I know....I know....the low 30's are the highs in some places here....but I love it and it's colder weather so I'll take it!

Barb, I hope your lasagna turned out good. I've used those no-boil noodles before and they worked great. What movie are you going to see? I can't sit for the length of time a movie takes (unless I get up multiple times to stretch and annoy the other people there!!) so I haven't been to a movie in several years. We just buy them on DVD if it's something I want to see.

Kay, I'm the same way. When I was first dx I was all obsessed about my MRI's and wanted to know every detail about them. Now.....if the lesions aren't causing any problems I don't worry about them. Even if they are....what am I gonna do? It is what it is. My DMD of choice is working wonders for me so now I really don't even think about it. One less thing to worry about!

I bought my Christmas cards the other day and I now have them all addressed and stamped!! I just have to sign the cards and mail them but that can wait a few weeks. I have to do it a little at a time since my "good" hand tires out easily and I have to stop and rest often.

Kay - I'm good at denial too especially since it has cooled down. LOL Like Kelly, I don't pay attention to how many or where the lesions are. I went through the phase at the end of my 1st year of trying to understand the correlation between where the lesions are and the symptoms that I have. Now, I don't care. I just strive to have the most "normal" life I can.

Vonn - Hope you are feeling better.

MY UPDATE: Im very sore from the nasty tests yesterday and Im just
hanging and resting. But Ill tell you why Im REALLY sore.

YOu all know my ds5 had a tough time transitioning to kindergarten. Well,
I have a conference a week ago and the teacher told her he is her most
amazing transformation ever!! He has been doing great, doesnt say "I
dont want to go to school today" any more, and has been riding the buse
to school.

The only thing was he wouldnt ride the bus home(afraid he wont make it) so
I have been picking him up everyday. Well yesterday he decides on his
own that he wants to ride the bus home. He gets off the bus teary eyed.
The boy next to him(his friend?) shoved him into the bus aisle and he fell
and he had a hard time getting up with his backpack on his back. Then his
friend behind him started laughing at him.

The bus driver didnt see it happen so nothing was said. So this a.m. he
doesnt want to go to school. Hes teary. Im picking him up. I also said
something to the bus driver(who is great) and she is going to talk to the
boy. I actually just wanted to give her the heads up, ya know. I hope
I did the right thing. Noone is gonna mess with this mama lion's cub!!!!!

Yest I had a word in my vocabulary that I haven't seen or used in ages~

MOTIVATION!!!!

I love that word!! I moved furniture around in my living room, (big no no for me, but who cares) cleaned the hardwood floors and found dust bunnies that thought they were settling in for the winter. I am so sore, but I don't care! I did something that needed to be done and it felt great, even if I have to pay today. woohoo!

I gave up Christmas cards last yr, as it was the first Holiday w/o my Mother and I didn't have the heart to send good wishes out. I know Bah humbug. It just didn't feel right for me to tell everyone to have a Merry Christmas when I wasn't feeling it. I know, not the best logic, but it was what I was feeling at the time. So, I probably will only send them to DD and Sis. I know, another Bah humbug. (I used to mail out so many, but my R hand tires just writing out a birthday card w/a note in it.) ~insert pathetic excuse here*

Girl....you did better than I would have!! I probably would have been waiting for that bully at the bus stop.... Not really, but I know exactly what you mean. Nobody messes with my baby!!

Once, when Kevin was learning to ride his bike our neighbor's boy (who was a bully) kept pulling his bike out in front of him and making him fall off. We lived on a very quiet street all the way at the end so there was no traffic and they all rode their bikes in the cul de sac.

I had been watching this and finally got tired of doing nothing...Kevin was only five (maybe six) at the time and wasn't doing anything to make him stop.

I walked out to the street and, of course, Kenny stopped doing his stuff as soon as he saw me. We were right in front of Kenny's house and I knew his Mom might be watching (she was great about never correcting her son but always correcting everyone else's ) so I smiled really big and walked over to Kenny's bike. I stooped down and in my sweetest most "motherly" voice told little Kenny if I saw him do that to Kevin again he would be getting a dose of his own medicine very quickly. His eyes were huge.....and I just kept smiling, got up and went back into the house!!
